This happens when clicking Multiplayer in menu and game brings up the list of servers online?
If reboot computer and start Wreckfest fresh, does this still happen?
- Game shuts down without an error
- Connected but server is not loading properly (only track and car model is showing up, no UI)
- Connected and then instant disconnect to main menu
- Connected and then kick/disconnect after accepting server message
After 5-7 tries I manage to connect and have a 1 race, but when the server changes track, I allways get CONNECTION LOST message (with a timer) after track is loaded.
Connection to the server takes about 2 minutes. And my internet speeds are really good http://www.speedtest.net/result/7512986354
Btw this thing started after latest 5gb update (maybe 5gb only for me), last time I played between April/May and it was perfect.
Rebooting does't help and I havent tried to reinstall wreckfest yet...
I guess I will try to do fresh install.
Speedtest.net's android app checks jitter and packet loss if you pick the right host. If your using an apple phone the iOS Speedtest app if there is one may test jitter and packet loss? Make sure your on your WiFi network before testing. FYI your testing on a wireless connection so Jitter will be higher than a wired connection. The packet loss test should be accurate though and you must have zero packet loss. FYI if you are running a wireless conection on your PC your jitter is most likely high the and likely the cause of your problem. Try this website as they do jitter testing. No packet loss testing but you would most likely have big problems if packet loss was an issue. https://www.megapath.com/speedtestplus/ Test several times in a row and again when you know you can't connect to a game server. IMO wreckfest is way more picky than most games about internet quality. Way to much is happening compared to most other games.
If jitter and packet loss are good the only other thing I can think of is your PC is under powered and or you have too many things running in the background. Some Antivirus programs can cause problems with online gaming.
Hope this is of some use to you
Bill
I would try doing the Steam verify before doing a true fresh install:

If single player Wreckfest running fine, would you having anything running in the background that could be slowing down your Internet? Hope you not using a wireless connection to go online?
Is Telia Lietuva a reliable Internet provider in Lithuania?
Single player is running fine, I allways use cable connection. Telia is one of the best internet provider in our country.
I'm using Lenovo y50-70 bought in 2015
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory: 16GB RAM
GPU: GTX 860m 4gb
HDD: 1TB (wdc wd10spcx-24hwst1)
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 16299) (16299.rs3_release_svc_escrow.180502-1908)

Your GPU is 6 times slower than a GTX 1070 Ti. An entery level GTX 1050 Ti is 3 times faster than your GTX 680m.

I would also guess RAM performance would be slower on a Laptop. Hard drive performace would be huge but only effect load times I would guess.
So I think you are lucky that disabling Defender makes online playable. Disabling your AV is not a good fix. I would try excluding the game directory from being scanned by Defender and see how it goes. If it were me I would trim the fat and close all programs running in the back ground that you do not need not counting Defender.
