how does one get banned from a server that states no rules anything goes. you will be offended it states... yet i get banned. how? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

When you join a server, (with the exception of BB Official servers) you are visiting someone's home. Even though the party has no rules, if you start puking on the host with hate speech or being a general ♥♥♥♥, then the host is going to ask you to leave. When will people get that thru their thick skulls. The host has invested time and money to keep their server running so you can play a GAME together. All most ask for is a little sportsmanship - rules or no rules, and a little respect. We are here to have fun.

Yeah, Particularly, don't annoy the admins.

I joined a no rules server and got into an on-track feud with one of the admins. I didn't know he was one of the admins when it started.

I have him some good wrecking over a few races (deserved, I felt - he'd been dishing it out enough).

Then one race I see him coming in for a corner bomb and dodge him. He crashes and burns.

Back to lobby.

Banned.

Lesson - admins can be arses. If you wreck them, they might ban you.

Its a bit like going to someones party and being a ♥♥♥♥. You'll get thrown out. Just butter up to the host and you can stay all night.

This thread is the equivalent of being thrown out then standing outside of a window saying "its not fair".

"Kicking and Banning" is common in racing games.
I can sort of understand why some players with the ability to ban a player do so, but as often as not I have found that if you are a high level or a very skilled player you will be banned just for winning. In racing games it seems that no-one likes a winner.

Unfortunately when that ban occurs all you can do is move on to another lobby.
Since (in this game) the servers are privately owned and are not subject to any real rules but their own, complaining here is a waste of time.
Although it might help to vent here nothing can be done to the admins that abuse their power.

I was a terrible admin, on my servers.

Not banning for reasons of personal vendetta, but thinking 'oh this person is going to annoy everyone on the server so I'll ban them so they don't annoy everyone'.

Almost every time I got it wrong.

So I have now banned myself from being an admin on my servers.

The only ban I ever got right.

You were either a naughty boy in chat, didn't ready up when the lobby was waiting, or targeted an admin on track.

Don't do any of the above, and you'll never get kicked.
