Career Mode is Beyond Frustrating for Completionists
If you're trying to get 100%, Wreckfest's career mode is a borderline nightmare.

Replaying career mode events seems to be heavily discouraged. Why? Because you have to reset your progress or final result for the series or event you want to replay. If you want to get a better score on a racing series, you need to get a better score because you lost your previous best score.
And if you're replaying a series and it's not going how you want it to, you still have to follow through because if you have to abandon your current series if want to do something else. Replaying an event or series means risking everything you did in that event.
It's almost like missing something in a game where you only have one save slot and no new game+.
Since unlocking new championships (and overall preogressing through career mode) is based on your current recorded scores you have for each series, replaying an event means losing some of your progress. I haven't tested if you can lock yourself out of championships you've already unlocked by replaying events, but I'm too afraid to try.

Your final position in a racing series seems almost pointless, because the game doesn't track your final position in the series overall, it instead tracks your finishing position in each race individually. If you want maximum points, you need to win every single event in a series.
And that's not all, because you also have bonus objectives for every event in a series, and these bonus objectives also get reset if you want to replay the series.

If you want to restart an event while it's happening, that's okay. But if you want to restart an event after you've crossed the finish line, you can't restart the event (note: getting wrecked also counts as you finishing an event). So, if you're trying to get the maximum score in a series but the AI overtakes you in the last second of a race or you mange to stuff yourself into a tree too hard, you have to restart the entire series.

Acing each series on the first try is really your best bet to get 100%, and that's a load of crap.

The answer here seems to be to not touch career mode. Cars and upgrades are only locked behind level progression, and you earn xp and credits from multiplayer and quick race, right? That's not entirely true, since bonus vehicles and race variants of standard vehicles are hidden behind special career mode events.
So, why not just get the bare minimum scores on career mode to unlock the special events, then complete those? Because I AM UPSET AND FEEL THE NEED TO VENT ABOUT IT ON THE INTERNET EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOBODY'S PROBLEM BUT MY OWN.

You bring several very valid points to the table here.
My only real "wish*" would be to have save slots in the game, so we could just start another career and not lose the previous career.
That said, if you want to level up quickly, just set up a "Deathmatch" against a full field of Lawnmowers, use the Muddigger @ Fairfield County and every 2 minutes you will get between 2720 and 2780 credits, and good level also.
Good rant ,and a well deserved rant as well !

* P.S. - I would also like to see the usual "Steam stuff", the achievements, the trading cards, the emoticons, etc. I'm sure that when this game is released to console that stuff will be added.Console players would never tolerate this game not having that "Steam stuff", lol.

You know, I had already read about that, but then I decided it would be unfair. But then I remembered that I I kept cheesing FO:UC by driving the wrong way in crashbowl. You know what? Maybe I'll just download one of those cheat mods from the workshop. I'll reset my career progress if career mode ever gets a rework.
