You might not be able to tell this, but I was quite annoyed when posting that.
Annoyed or not, it was a comical post.
This scenario is played out fairly often in the lobbies, I have fallen victim to it a time or two......
One of the appealing aspects of this game is the facility to play the way you want.
If it was about winning, top speed and acceleration every lobby would be full of 346 spec Sunrise Supers.
Everyone has the scope to build a car to their taste.
And everyone has the right to play to the strengths of the car they built.
That means 346 Sunrise Super drivers might get enjoyment from the game from setting fast laps and winning races.
But it also means that 239 Limo drivers might find other ways to enjoy themselves.
That's the nature of the game and there's no point complaining about it.
I just use wreckfest to keep my skills sharp
I absolutely disagree.
There are plenty of modes where the primary aim is wrecking other cars. In races the primary aim is to win the race. If you could win by getting 23 DNFs buy wrecking everyone else that would be one thing, but you'll be wrecked after a few head-on collisions. It's absolutely pointless.
There are people who drive backwards around the track in most driving games, their aim is always the same - to have fun at someone else's expense - it's that simple.
If you're driving backwards round the track you're ruining it for those trying to race.
Race dirty, yes, but race.
Got have some skill to dodge the wreckers and a little luck to finish. :)
Now if if server rules says "no backwards" and you go backwards, either you get kicked or banned.
This might be YOUR primary aim, but it isn't mine.
There's a lot more to this game than driving fast.
I'm a sim racer. Not a great one, but in sims like rF2, AC etc. my primary aim is to be as fast as I can be, and finish as high as I can finish.
Wreckfest is a whole different kettle of fish.
My aim in every Wreckfest race is to have fun. However that fun may manifest itself.
Who would ever have imagined that in the game that is all about wrecking that there would be players in online lobbies that try to wreck as many players as possible ?
In every racing game ever there are always either lobby trolls that live to make other players miserable , cheaters that live to steal XP and Level from the other players in the lobby, or just the average noob idiots make mistakes that cause collateral damage to other players.
If winning events is your primary motivation for playing this game online, good luck with that.
I can guarantee you that if you aren't a VERY skilled player that starts in the front of the pack, winning in online lobbies will be a matter of luck, nothing more.
There are players that still don't have the "Human Lover" achievement with hundreds of hours in this game.
This game has a lot of modes to enjoy, Custom and Career modes that you can win in, if that is your preference.
While playing this game in online lobbies I always knew 1 thing:
All bets are off.
So pick your lobby carefully and you might just get to win occaisionally.
Just use your sheer length & weight to your advantage & aggressively mess over everyone else who happens to be within your radius.
