(As you can see, I'm only here to stir things up. Sorry about that.)
Bugbear can stop players from tweaking stock files and joining a stock server with their file check Wreckfest does.
But stopping players from using trainer, I don't know if there away of stopping that??
A trainer kick in after a game is running and hack the game while it in running in memory. How can we\ Bugbear stop that??
This is sad news if players are using trainers online. :( But we do have tools to clamp down on cheaters, we can kick or ban them.
But be very cautious calling someone a cheater just because they fast and winning races!!!!
That is why I said I couldn't be 100% sure....I wasn't recording at tthe time so it is up in the air, even in my own mind. The "ping" issue can do some wierd things.
"He who is faster (than me) is a cheater" is a flawed mentality in any racing game, for sure.
Anyway, I love the game and really feel that this community (for the most part) is comprised of a lot of very smart and helpful members that only want this game to be as good as it can be.
Cheers and as always....
Wreck 'em All !!
The wall riding thing mentioned is a glitch in the game that people can exploit (most servers it'll get you kicked for doing), it's been around in some form or another for many years.

You say I diagnosed someone as delusional based on a personal dislike of that player. As you can see from my comment I said that due to his outlandish unfounded claims of cheating 'ruining this game'. I don't know this player, how would I, he confesses to never play it online, but still chimes in on every other post with his misinformation about the multiplayer experience in this game. Cheating is not widespread, in fact I've never seen it and the guy above me with 2000hrs has never seen it either as well as anyone else I've played with. You seem to be backing up this guy's deluded comments about multiplayer being toxic and full of cheaters. Anyone who plays any decent amount of multiplayer on this game will tell you this is not true. You then go on to sarcastically call out the other members on here for saying the cars can't be altered past the server side limits. I'm not attacking or staking anyone as you claim, but why should I stand by and watch new readers of these forums soak up this misinformation. I'm sure if 2 days ago you saw a C Class killerbee flying around the tracks on EU servers at 200mph it won't be long before we see him on the leaderboards, but oh wait, he's not on the leaderboards, and nobody has seen such a thing (and you conveniently haven't recorded it either nor has mr misinformation who you are backing up). My 'name calling' is childish you say, when this guy you are backing up was screaming at me in all caps the other day telling me to STF up when he asked me to show him one official server with anyone in it and I was able to show him many officials with plenty players. The trolling comment is uncalled for you say. What else is it to be seen as when you are constantly writing completely inaccurate misinformed comments on a forum and refusing to acknowledge when you are shown to be undeniably wrong. Giving your opinion is perfectly acceptable of course but when faced with cold hard facts and still arguing against it with some twisted agenda of his own is not acceptable. The fact remains, maybe you saw what you claim, but there is no proof whatsoever from you or the other guy and it certainly isn't 'ruining the online experience' as he claims. I know if I saw a 200 mph C Class killerbee zooming ahead of everyone in a lobby I wouldn't be long shadowplaying that and putting it on here, strange how out of the other 20 odd players in the lobby no other videos of it have surfaced yet either. I'll be keeping my eye on the leaderboards for this Killerbee infestation of cheaters to appear on top
Are you lonely ? That wall of text does point in that direction.......
It comes as no surprise to me that you didn't bother to read (or retain) what I said regarding the "mabye" parts of my post, and the reply I made to another poster here.
"Ping" could have been what I saw. I freely admitted that in 2 posts/replies.
The rest of your post above , that veritable wall of text, looks to be an attempt to convince (me ?) players that I didn't see what I saw. In effect, you are calling me a liar.
I didn't have my recording software running at the time this happened. I wish I had. I am not going to attempt to answer all of your misquotes or assumptions, nor do I assume liability for other players/posters you might have a problem with.
I'll close with this:
I'm not unaware of how this game is online. My experience, ability, skill level, etc, is easily seen by anyone who cares to look. If this game ever has the addition of achievements, etc, I will probably care more about playing this game, particularly online.
And when and if I do, I'll be sure to look you up.
That way, I'll be able to see how experienced you are, Mr. Wreckfest 0 Steam player.
As for the OPs original question...
NO. There is no anti-cheat in this game.
Short and sweet.
Its just a waiting game at this point. He gets caught, or he doesn't. Simple as that.
(Only small typo edits made here)
I never said how many were in that lobby, I frankly don't remember. There were people and bots, I do remember that.
I think it was a Euro Bugbear server.
I have no desire to win an argument here.
There is NO argument.
I would appreciate it if someone would take the time to read a post prior to jumping in with assumptions and innuendo.
And why would I care whose side anyone is on ? I don't need anyone to validate me.
This isn't some kind of cyber pissing match.
I made a post, and now I am having to reiterate the main point of my post, again and again due to the fact no-one seems to be able to process what I typed.
"It could have been a ping issue. I'm not sure. "
Now, maybe you get it.
(only editing because I can edit)
PFFFFT !
Like I said, I'll see you eventually in a lobby, Mr. 0 Steam .
I feel like this is an insult directed to Cúchulainn, but i do not have ability to comprehend what it means. Care to explain further?
It is a privacy setting in the Steam profile.
Private Profile. 0 Steam .
It's not so much an insult, it s a choice some users make so their time in games, XP, Achievements, etc, aren't visible to other players.
It is sometimes considered a red flag, particularly when trying to post stats, etc, in game forums.
I usually find 0 Steam users to be at the very least argumentative, at worst, outright trolls.
Edit: I looked at your profile and noticed a few things immediately. One is that you have very few racing games, where most of my library is Racing/driving games. You seem to like
RPG / FPS better, which is cool.
And some kind of a ban (probably not really your fault) . If you look at mine you'll see what I have played the most of, etc, same as yours.
(I understand GT4 is not an online game, therefore irrelevant in the forum, but still)
Yes sir, and I also have an Origin account.
And 2 Steam accounts.
This is my secondary account.
Anyway, all good, enjoy !
That's all you've left in the tank? Yeah backtracking gets uncomfortable doesn't it. I knew it was the same guy on an alt account, smh. Same exact thing the other guy called me. Next time you wanna post across forums agreeing with yourself maybe don't make it so obvious. The only red flag I see is a guy regularly slipping his negative inaccurate comments in wherever he can then backing himself up with another account. Still haven't come across that C Class killerbee doing 200mph yet, I'll keep my eyes peeled though.
