Why idiots keep asking for horns?

You realise what kind of annoying, meaningless horn concert it would be in multiplayer?

Also, what are you trying to communicate by honking a horn?

A) "Look out I'm coming for you".

Yeah no sh*t. Human opponents can hear your engine already. If they don't move over, they choose not to. Honking a horn won't change a thing.

B) "Watch out, make some space".

Again, they heard you already (engine). Also, why would they make space. Honking a horn has absolutely no meaning or effect. Except annoyance

Also, how to distinguish between the two? How I'm supposed to know from honking the horn, which one you meant A or B? Also, why should I care?

Dunno why I'm explaining this, people who ask for horns aren't smart enough to understand it anyway. And people who are against adding horns, already knew this

Worst part is that there would always, ALWAYS someone spamming his horn. In start lights, on every straight, in every corner for no reason... There's always that one guy. Just like there's always someone who doesn't ready up, and always chooses Muddigger. So don't give them more tools to annoy people. Race cars have no use for horns anyway

the only thing that might be annoying about horns is people spamming them.
this can be easyli prevented by giving horns some kind of cooldown, so you cannot beep forever.

Real horns don't have cooldown. What's the point of adding horns in the first place... I just want to know, I see no point

Just give us an on off button so then the kids can just annoy each other.
They just want yet another troll tool/ toy is all.

I play crossout.. horns ARE a thing there. no such spam occurs like you describe. (well maybe a little. sometimes)
Reasons ppl honk in crossout :
1. to say thanks
2. to say oi u ♥♥♥♥, wtf was that.
3. to make sweet sweet music.

For you snowflakes who would be triggred by a horn sfx a simple checkbox to disable the infernal noise would make you happy, yes?

BTW, your imaginary server you dont host would most likely be you vs bots 24/7

"Race " vehicles as a rule do not have horns. No competition vehicle I ever built or drove had a horn, unless that vehicle was also street driven.

It doesn't really matter one way or the other, opinions regarding horns in this game will vary, I'm sure. Players wanting a horn in this game aren't "idiots", they just have a different opinion.

Personally, I don't care to listen to horns blowing from all directions when I need to hear input from my vehicle. I don't listen to music while I race either, for the same reason.

Crossout isn't a racing game. What place horns have in racing? Name me a racing series, where drivers honk at each other mid-race?

Our taste in music differs it seems....what kind of spastic would find the honking "music" even remotely funny? Are you kind of person who laughs at every fart you and everyone else makes? That's like funniest thing you know? Sounds about same level of intelligence, as honking a horn with your friends and grinning like morons. Like the two guys in that movie Dumb and Dumber

Why I'm so "heated" about it... is because in the latest hotffix comments I noticed OMG there is so many downies who actually think it would be funny and good idea. Like actually several people with down syndrome playing.... I became worried there might be a small chance they actually add it
