i agree with you OP, placement makes no sense. lot of series have the faster cars run behind the slower ones, other have heat laps and time attacks to set the starting position.
it's especially punishing at the start of the game AND each time you 1up a car/car class. with the ai being random as ♥♥♥♥ mid pack, you often have to catch back 7+ seconds if you dont plow inside the first corner.
game would be a LOT more fun if it had the handling that made the previous bugbear games sell.
i'd love to, well have a more predictable handling and no ai driving nexus rs's being able to resist a pit manoever from a much heavier car...
· Reverse championship positions --- If you lead the championship you start last
· Half reverse championship positions --- Leader starts 12th in a 24-car championship
· Random fairness --- Everyone starts everywhere. Grid spots are randomized but by the end of the championship everyone has had a 1-6th, 7-12th, 13-18th and 19-24th start at some point.
