"lets meet on server xyz"
Joining the game via steam will still not work in this game tho, but you can find your friend's games via the friends tab in the in-game server browser.
The port ranges to open are as follows:
27014-27016 TCP/UDP
33539-33541 UDP
i didn't understand how to do that can you explain me better please?
You have to access your Router's configuartion interface via your browser and open the port ranges I described. This is also called port forwarding.
Port forwarding looks different depending on what Router you got. So best way to figure out how it works for your router is to google "[your router model here] port forwarding" or look it up in your router's manual if you got one.
in the page of my router what appears to me related to this is an option called applications and gaming and within this option I see several options related to opening a server, I put the one that says port range forwarding in which I asked :
start port (I put 27014), end port (I put 27016), ip adress (the ip of my pc), protocol (tcp), then add another similar tab and place the following data: start port (33539), end port (33541), ip adress (pc ip), protocol (udp). I put something wrong? because my friend can not see me yet, so we can not play
