I think what they are refering to is cross platform play , as in pc players being able to play with xbox and playstation players online

multi-platform means it is on multiple platforms. Eg: xbox, PS4, PC.

Cross-play is multiplayer where it is possible to play against people with different platforms such as PS4 playing against PC, or Xbox playing against PC.

only devs can say, but if i where to guess, if cross platform will be included it will be x1 to pc.
Sony dont want to work whit MS.
the very little amount of ps4 to pc cross platform games on the marked is a strong indicator of this.
