Let's all run out and get all of the parts to build a new PC to play this one unoptimised game !
There a lot of players with performance issues regarding this game. If it runs so "fine" for you, good for you. Lucky you.
( I still haven't seen anyone that says this game runs so fine or great for them post any proof of the always above 60 FPS that they claim they get, by the way.)
A lot of players are settling for lower resolution, less graphics "eye candy" , etc and posting how this game is running so fine for them.
That won't get this game optimised .
The Devs need their feet held to the fire regarding this games lackluster performance.
They need to understand that a lot of players are having major performance issues.
They don't need to be jerked off by fanboys anymore.
This game is in Beta now. It's almost showtime.
It's time to get what we have waited YEARS for.
If this game stays as it is, I won't waste a moment playing it again.
EVER.
Then I'll write a review. A really nice review.
:D
So my fps hovers around ~90-110s, and this is with i7 6700, gtx 980ti 2-way SLI and 32GB RAM.
This isn't the best optimization in racing games, and sometimes there are places on maps where the FPS is going to get unstable but the game is still Early-Access, and I hope devs would bring optimization sooner or later, hoping to get the sweet 144 FPS.
Big thanks to Bugbear for SLI support right out of the box.
If I have 50fps on one and 2-4 fps on another track, it can't be my system I think. And it got worse with the last two updates (more tracks are low fps now).
All the complaints about game running poorly always comes back to people using AMD.
I sent you a vid remember of me playing at 1440p with everything maxed out,and im hardly using a super computer

You must have some secret sauce in your PC lol.
Are there any more optimization plans other than track optimization, such as rendering, making the shadow not to be that much of performance killer, engine, etc. ?
I also hope this doesn't mean graphical downgrade overall to the game to achieve console level optimization, but seeing the game is available on PC before console I doubt it, since it won't be a console port after all.
Did you see the conversation where someone disabled two FX-8350 cores in their BIOS and the game ran better?
My suspicion is that currently CPU cooling is your limiting factor. Would also try turning on dynamic vsync in your radeon/catalyst/crimson settings. Or play with frame rate target control if you prefer.
If the R9 390X is only targeting 60FPS then that should mean less heat in the case.
I have an i5, and asus 1060 (3 gb mem).
I find grass, and shadow to be the killers. I totally disable shadows, and have grass at half, and get a resonable frame rate. (on most tracks, tarmac 2 kills me whatever settings)
Turning v-sync off helped also, as if the game fell below 60 fps, then it would just drop to 30, there have been previous discussions about the "double buffering" that used to be in place, I can't say if it's still the same as I don't use v-sync now.
You my friend, get the golden cookie award, the game hasn't been optimised yet for any PC combination.
Lets see what they manage upon release, hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised ;)
If not then I will join your'e team and toast the devs feet daily ;)
