Also look in your install directory theres a /tools folder containing basic workflow readme and /mods contains a example car project for you to follow (in 3dsm).
Blender version of example project (outdated) is available on bugbear forums in modding section. http://community.bugbeargames.com/index.php/topic,8806.0.html
