Manual shifting on keyboard problem
I use a keyboard and manual transmission and I'm sometimes having to press the key to change gears 2 sometimes 3 times before it shifts and seems to happen more often when im turning and trying to shift (it's even worse when shifting into reverse), is anyone else having this issue?

Does your keyboard have NKey Rollover? Maybe your keyboard doesnt support more than 2 button presses at a time aka. 2kro.

I have a Logitech Y-SR34 Keyboard, I don't know what NKey rollover is but I don't have this problem in any other game, I've had this problem in wreckfest since the early days of it's development.

You use manula gears too? I use arrow keys to drive and Z & X to shift gears.

Make sure that you havent set it to "manual with clutch", you should use just "manual" gear shifting.
You can find it under the tab where you set ABS, AI level, etc.
it's right after loading into a race.

It's on manual with no clutch.

Make sure you have no conflicting key bindings in the controller setup.

Take a look at the "filter keys" setting in windows 10. Try toggling that setting and see if that helps.

I'm having the exact same issue. Just checked to make sure there were no conflicting keybinds, and also made sure sticky keys was off. Additionally, whenever a race starts, my car is locked in place slightly longer than the other cars. I'm getting tired of the AI smashing me in the rear every single race.

Does your keyboard allow multiple inputs or does it have problems with certain key combos that it can't take them all together? If you've cheap keyboard tat can be the reason, because I can have that kind of issues.

I am having the same issue and it is a problem with this game and not my keyboard. I have a mechanical keyboard (Filco Majestouch 2) with N-key rollover and this issue seems to happen when I steer and change gear at the same time.

Since keys are not analog you have to tap the steering keys fairly often so I run into this issue at least once per lap. Somehow the game just doesn't register both at the same time. This is really annoying and other games do not have this problem. Can you please look into it?

Yea thats exactly the issue I am having and it's very annoying having to mash the gear key till it finally shifts.

1. Check your keyboard mapping.
2 Might need a better keyboard.

Personally I have "A" mapped to gear up and "Z" to gear down. Arrows for L, R, Gas, and Brake. Space bar for parking brake.

It has nothing to do with the keyboard were using seeing as this issue doesn't happen in ANY other game racing or otherwise.

Did you try another keyboard? Tried using different USB port? I know basic questions, but just trying to help.
