Can you play your career with friends? play in the same races against each other?

I can think couple of problems doing this. What if you got be 1st in the event you are doing?

Some races are just against 1 car to unlock that car.

You would have to do it twice if playing with a mate, have your mate block the other car so you can win, could be fun. or just don't play those in a group. Most of the time you and your friend would be coming 1st/2nd etc so it shouldn't be a problem anyway. oh well.

Or the friend could be the 2nd car.
Could be a fun addition, not sure I'd replay the campaign for it, but sounds fun none the less.
