DEVS REMOVE THE COMBINE DERBY

im not the only one when i say the combine derby is a broken concept in the game for the fact playing bumper cars at 15mph in a 5 ton vehicle just doesn't work, the only way you guys can fix this is either double the time you get in the mission or make the ai drive smaller vehicles considering you simply can't get any progress in the mission without pilling into a crowd for a random chance of taking out someone unlucky. not to mention the perpetuation of the problem when the ai respawn with full health after each wreck creating more intense competition, but there's always that option of taking it out entirely because it's such a heinous mission blocking me off from the rest of my championship i don't even wanna try to beat it anymore to progress, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

Well, you are obviously dumb because wheat-thresher combines are some of the best race cars in the world. Wait, that sounds stupid. Why are we having to drive lawn mowers and combine harvesters in a race game?
That's probably a question the developers could respond to, about where they see the game going. Frankly, if I have to drive farm equipment for a race, it should be between my threshing machine, and whoever was stupid enough to think "hey, lets toss this in!"

Because races and derbies with such vehicles also exist in real life.

The tight time limit was actually a bug that's been fixed (by doubling it) in the upcoming update, so hopefully the challenge won't feel as frustrating anymore. Also, unless you desperately need the championship points awarded by this challenge you can always skip it.

a dev has graced us with his presence and power, thank you for addressing this and i do know it's possible to skip it but i make bad financial choices and didn't have any cars to compete in the european races so having to beat that mission truly was a struggle on a short time frame, i did take notice and was able to beat it after someone had mentioned realistic damage as a option to side step the lack of damage output

Auugh. See? This is the reason why American farmers drove their harvesters to Washington in the 1970's. "Road-TRIP!"... I'm sure the guys in the back were wondering why so many cars and trucks were smoking wreckage on the way there. Honestly, IH did a dirty deal much like the toxic mortgage we saw in 2007, and they almost went under, while a lot of farmers got planted themselves. Sorry, didn't intend to inject politics in our peanut combine. Of course, they were all pullin cans of Billy Beer from their Coleman Survival Chambers to and from. (yad to be there)

Please describe how you were able to beat it? I had a similar "I can't seem to finish this series" and blew every penny on the Saab (c'mon folks, ride me like a lawnmower because I can't remember firefly vs. killerbee)... just to get a few more 1st place wins, when the fwd Celica should have buried it). Maybe there's a common tactic? I hate having to buy a car that's 1950's quality just to beat 1980's tech in speed.
