How is the online multiplayer?
Can anybody tell me more about online multi-player mode? Do u join servers to u autojoin a game after searching is there some competitive part to play? Is there long term fun ahead when focusing on multiplayer? Cause I don't wanna buy this for having fun a weekend and then never touching it again.

The main objective of the game is to race and win, with a lot of aggressive driving, which is the goal. Everyone will do their best not to win, and the fight is fierce. A race with a lot of destruction. There are some servers that take some kind of clean competition more into account, but they are very few. The player of this type of game is more Mad Max style. If you like a good deal of confusion and funny but very competitive moments, it can be a game to consider. Now you have to know if you are the type player for this game. Drive hard, die last ;)

There no rules server ( except maybe, no backwards ), some semi-clean racing and a few clean racing servers.

Checkout this site to get an idea how busy WF online is:

Since we got to go online Oct 2014 with the early access version of Wreckfest, I been online almost every Sat since and had a great time online. :) Where you going to go to get race up to 24 cars online with soft-body damage?

I'd rather say the main objective of the game is to SURVIVE :D:

In EA and even now the players are the same. Join a server and start to know the bomber who tends to DNF early, rough racers, clean racers, and the small and nimbles after best time.
So the majority want a bit of a fight and not a total knock out, it keeps the racing element relevant. But that also means a nice portion of the server will get your pulse V8 racing only for you to swing out the way, a good portion of the battle side is out thinking the attacker.

If you want a game where one moment you're side by side with a player playing clean on the edge of trust, the next you're dodging the Clarkson types who will make you laugh as they end up in a tree. Do it.

Tl:dr if you find Friends lol funny, move on.

You can either "autojoin" a quick race that will find you a suitable server or you can list all servers and apply filters to find the game mode/rules you're looking for.

You can grind experience (to level up, which does nothing as far as I know) and credits to buy new cars and parts in multiplayer, but there's no competitive ladder or anything (except for the lists in Purple's link I guess).

It's surprisingly fun without any actual "goals"! I just wish there were more active servers, it's sometimes hard to find a decent server with realistic damage and so on.

would be better if cars would be properly balanced....its not normal that some cars can be seconds faster than other cars in the same Letter Rating... so mostly its busted at the start already

With the addition of the Achievements I would say there is a reason to "Level up" in this game.
I always have the same goal in any racing game, that is to finish on the podium.
Winning is better of course, but podiums are good.

"Realistic damage":
There is no such thing as that in this game .The damage is cool, it is funny, it is over the top.
It is NOT realistic.
A vehicle with no radiator will run about 2 minutes in a race til it blows the head gaskets or worse.

"Properly Balanced " vehicles :
Do you mean like NASCAR has become?
They all weigh the same, have the same H.P. and Torque specs .
I'll pass.
You have choices in this game. Upgrades, downgrades, handling choices, gearing choices.
I like that.

Those "Auto join" servers:
All they do is just stick you in a server that has people in it, regardless of the mode or class of cars required.
It has only 1 advantage, and that is you don't need to hunt a busy lobby and find you don't have some Mod installed , or a lockout or password protected server.

250 servers and only about 200 players that are playing M/P .

So, obviously there are a lot of players in Career and Custom races, I would think.

Not all cars are created equal. There is, and there should be a distinguishable difference in say 164 Tristar and a 164 Rammer. Going even a little more in depth, the are clear differences between builds used, driver ability and the use of tuning for each track and the use or not of the in game assists.

If you're gonna be a racer (probably why you're butt hurt), hang back, under cut and go from 20th to 1st in the first lap.

If you're betting busted up, you're doing it wrong. Try thinking ahead and use that to your advantage.
