I was told this game could not be hacked to cheat.......
network speed, car configurations, driver skill & technique, learning the best line on each track. With the update, those who are extremely adept at WF have to learn the nuances all over again.
That time isn't wallriding or any other game mechanics- that time is a timer freeze .
Now tell me this game is safe from cheating.....What a hoot.
If ya don't know something, please don't act like you do.
Whether it is misinformation or ignorance, obviously this game, like any other racing game , is being hacked. Saying that it can't be hacked is obviously not the truth.......
Players are stating that this game can't be cheated in.
Obviously, that is bull$hit.
Leaderboard times being what they are, that $hit matters.
But online I not seeing signs of players using nitro hacks, like we saw with Flatout 2.
00:01.616 ....Using a "wallride" ?
C'mon, Purp....Gimme a break !
Why can't you long time players just admit it ?
This game can be hacked and cheated in just like all the rest of the racing titles.
The proof is posted.
It's time to believe your own eyes.
leaderboards could do with a periodic cleanup though, but its not game breaking imo. Pretty obvious which laptimes aren't legit if you are competing for them.
Exactly how, in a game that is modded so easily and frequently, does that work, this anti-cheat ?
How would "server side" matter if files are scripted ?
And yeah, the leader boards are proof positive the hacks are being used.
Maybe it is only offline, and only in Single player.
Be that as it may, there is still cheating in this game.
I don't disagree there may be ways to hack Wreckfest, do think it possible! Just don't want talk about how it could be done here in a forum. ;)
People claiming its hack proof are naive, Companies have spent billions trying to lock down their code and never succeeded.
Either way, I personally don't stress it,A good race is a good race.
Its not cheat proof, but very difficult unless playing offline or are the host of the server.
Offline cheating of leaderboards is certainly possible, very easy to do and difficult to stop without measures which aren't consumer friendly
