Anybody beat the Big Rig Race?

That race is way too hard to beat even with novice AI. You are limited to using only the super van against a bunch of big rigs that have faster speed than you. I've tried it maybe 10 times and haven't been able to beat that race so I can't unlock the big rig.

I gave up trying to beat it,but thanks to this hotfix I'm willing to try it again! If it works I'm leaving them a positive review!

I can confirm now that the new HOT FIX made this 100% easier to beat! No more dumb rubber banding!

Managed it before the AI fix on expert first try, the secret is to block them like crazy on the straights and use the bump they give you to stay ahead.

Should be easier with now with the update.

While we were designing the challenge we still actually had the original Class D Supervan, which meant it was much slower the the trucks. Nevertheless, it was still possible to win the challenge by using that very same tactic. It sure was gut-wrenching, though.

Hahahaha, mistakes happen though. You guys were quick at fixing it, nice going. Update's finished here so I will chekc it out myself. Might even silly to try on Expert to see how much less difficult it is now, as I was still going at novice.

Its very easy now, i finished without touching any of the trucks. Same with the Couch race, very easy, both finished first try.

@jannesBB However I was abotu to try the race, I found out the trucks now have a pink texture for me, am I missing a file?

@jannesBB New issue - keep crashing now that I got the Big Rig, as I left the game with the truck being in the menu. I keep crashing to desktop nomatter what if it's 64-bit with mods or modless.

I am verifying files before I do the unthinkable, again.

While I absolutely welcome a challenge, this particular race felt more like a Dark Souls type of race. Any single mistake and you lose it. I played it over 20 times and each time I did get better, but I just couldn't accomplish it. Which made it not fun because I really wanted the Big Rig.
