Anybody beat the Big Rig Race?

That race is way too hard to beat even with novice AI. You are limited to using only the super van against a bunch of big rigs that have faster speed than you. I've tried it maybe 10 times and haven't been able to beat that race so I can't unlock the big rig.

i spent close to 8 hours trying and gave up, maybe it will be beatable once they fix the rubberbanding

I'm able to stay ahead of them until the straight and then they overtake me.

I have, put it on novice difficulty, take your time in the turns so you don't lose speed, and get in front of the lead rig on the final straight. They won't try to pass you until turn one if you're directly in front, at which point you WILL be passed. Don't panic, you can take the position right back on one of the ensuing turns, as the rigs slow down a lot for them on novice.

Thanks man! But I'm too triggered to try again, maybe tomorrow. That race is not fun at all and really dumb. I managed to lead 1 time, but a big rig hit me in the back and took off 90% of my health, then it went downhill from that.

You'll get there, I pushed through doing all the events so I could share my career file with my friends on discord. We only play online and now they have all the new vehicles. Since then an alternative to the free market mod has become available also, discounted market it's called

Yes. Drive like a speed demon till they catch you then use them as bumpers/lean on them in the corners they will fight each other in later rounds be careful then after gleaming the cube lol be ready to get directly in front of the one behind you and have them push you across the finish line.
Its a Ballz of Steel/Ovaries kinda situation at the end of the third lap!

I gave up on it yesterday but tried again today and finally got it. One thing that really helped me was driving from the hood view instead of the behind-the-car view I've been using. That stupid van seemed much easier to control this way for some reason. I guess it's easier to "feel" what it's doing in this view. (and maybe because I'm more used to sim racing where I always use interior view.) Also this way you don't get your view blocked when a truck is behind you. Once I could kinda sorta control the stupid thing I finally felt like I maybe had a chance.
Dive-bomb down the inside of turns to shove past the trucks, and then be lucky on the last straight of the last lap that no truck spins you out and/or rams you into a wall.

ya beat it after 4 tries, mostly it was about adjusting my steering wheel setting so the stupid caravan isn't crasy sensitive and actually drivable...

put it on easiest setting and go around the corners in gear three. Use the tripper to get yourself to spin around more in the corners don't jam the pedal down. Use the trucks to help you turn by slamming in to them, they ain't going nowhere anyway.

Don't worry if the trucks pass you going into lap 3. As long as it's only one or two, you can lean on them through the corners and get back past them again.

Then just block the one that catches you on the last straight and he'll bump you over the line.

That last part is what takes nerves of steel. But yeah! That's what it takes and how I did it and probably the only way you can get it done.

I gave up after trying for half an hour. I just can't drive with the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up vehicle in the game. Too twitchy and unstable and probably even more so as i play with keyboard.

If they make it easier i'll try again, if not then keep the damn thing and i don't even want it anymore. I don't mind challenges but having to coop with that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on wheels no thanks
