I do not believe it was tbh.
I had to resort to some bizarre settings to pull it off. I consider myself a very good player at racing games and have played loads, I have completed every single event on WF at expert level or not at all - its a personal goal.
Despite that and the fact most would then embelish the truth - I am gonna tell you now I had to drop it to novice and do some really bizarre setup to pull this off.
I will point out though I am a dirty MKB player .. no gamepad or analog throttle for me.
If the buses even was hard but passable (with previous patch), here it's simply frustrating over and over.
It is utterly brutal and there is no point anyone pretending it is not. There is a big difference between "achievable under very specific conditions" and "equally possible for all"
Novice felt like it barely did anything and while I may well enjoy expert many would choose to relax the challenge, alleviating difficulty via options and assists SHOULD have impact but for the big rig event it doesn't feel like it dose much at all.
The only reason I pulled it off was because I kept the damn thing in 3rd and took corners in a manner to reduce loss of traction from the rear, it was a case of making sure I was already accelerating faster than they were.
If you are not too aggressive though and "lean" on them in the corners by using them as a buffer to take it faster than you would normally it CAN be done I have the rig unlocked to prove it ... but I wont even begin to try and pretend like I was able to do it on Expert as I have everything else, I was questioning myself by how much I had to relax the challenge to get this done.
It required specific inputs. Also drifting wastes time with the SuperVan. Try to keep your speed around the corners, cornering techniques are the key to victory.
I like use far Chase cam, but with bigrig on your bump, made it hard to see, I went cockpit few and find it was easier to steer the 3 wheeler too.
Bad thing is that the truck is actually quite fragile, and the top speed is just horrible.
I have played (and completed most of) Flatout 1 and 2, Dirt 1,2,3; Dirt Rally (2015), GRID, GRID 2 and Wreckfest with keyboard on the each game's hardest difficulty. Keyboard racing is difficult, but can be learnt by practicing.
