Try to stay ahead the whole time, dont give up if you lose a few spaces though because they fight with each other ALOT once you get a lap out the way.

Turn off traction control

Consider using manual gears and keeping it almost always in 3rd besides the front straight and sweeping left hander after the hairpin.

Turn down the AI setting - though honestly for all I am determined to complete everything Expert for my own satisfaction I noticed nearly NO difference even when I did try this.

Complain - the fact that you have to resort to settings that arguably very few of the community will use given the nature of the game is pretty much proof to me that not much testing was afforded to this.

There is no way you can tell me this particularly event was well tested.

I tried the even like 50 times and did not win, even with easy ai settings. Its really hard, and the fact that the 3 wheel thing is a piece of ♥♥♥♥ does not makes it better.

I just beat it and feel like doing backflips and shouting off the highest mountain top I DID IT! Haha Not a easy event!!

I've gotten 6th place at best. Seems doable, but needs a lot of luck and skill (and possible no assists). Might be a little bit of developer bias went into the design of most of these special events.
