Are all hosts\servers listed have the red X? Or just some? We just got a new hotfix ( #3 ), so there going be a lot of red Xs until the servers are restarted with the new update.
Are you letting it finish verifying? (bottom right of multiplayer list)
have you messed with base files in the past? Uninstalling doesn't always remove additional files if you've added them, might need to uninstall and delete wreckfest manually, then reinstall
Failing that, uninstall, then delete your whole bugbear install folder and reinstall
" Occasionally the game will not launch after installing mods. If this happens, first try launching the game with "-disable_mods" (without quotes) launch option (right click on the game name in Steam Library > Properties > Set Launch Options). If that doesn't help, remove c:\Program Files\Steam\userdata\[User ID]\228380\local\wreckfest early access\modlist.mods file and try again."
Uninstalling Wreckfest does not get rid of the modlist file.
Then I delete new modlist file and use my copy of a good modlist file ( that has my mods in the order I want ) again. If I kept the new modlist file, I would have to rearrange my mod list again.
Did you check and see if there a modlist file in your \userdata folder for Wreckfest. If so, rename name it. Having no mods, would think Wreckfest will still make a modlist.mods file.
