How much like Mirror's Edge is this?

I liked Mirror's Edge, so might pick this up if it is under rated.

It's more like prince of persia than anything if I were to make a comparison.

Good artstyle, average gameplay.

The characters, setting and story and length are pretty much the same as Mirror's Edge, but gameplay is completely different. Mirror's Edge is all about speed and flow, whereas Remember Me is more focused on combat and has some "by-the-book" platforming sections. Note that Mirror's Edge is all about game mechanics and is in first person, whereas Remember Me is more futuristic and in third person.

Sure, the art style is different but they're essentially the same.

Nilin is Faith
Edge is Merc
Olga is Celeste (kinda)

and the whole game revolves around Nilin/Faith navigating through a city being chased by the authorities whilst trying to pursue her own quest; or one that is given by Edge/Merc.

Mirror's Edge is a first-person parkour game with very minor to no combat. Remember Me is a third-person action/platformer. The combat is similar to Batman AA/AC, with really bad platforming around the levels when you're not fighting. But to answer your question, no it is nothing like Mirror's Edge.

In my opinion, Remember Me would've made an awesome movie but it was a game instead. It had some great ideas and great art style but failed to do anything new. The combat gets so repetitive and starts to feel like a chore. The platforming is so linear and just didn't feel like it should have been implamented into the game.

Why is the platforming bad, it's effortless and at atimes tedious, but it's responsive and animates well.

It has nothing in common with mirror's edge. Not one thing at all. Except she has a similar hairstyle but a different colour.

Depends how broad you want to be and how much you've played each game, how you see it, what you notice etc.
