Remember me - The picture when i play is all grainy need help.

when i play remember me, the screen is all grainy and it annoys me. anyway to fix it?

It's not a bug, the game features a film grain filter for cinematic effect. As it's built right into the Unreal Engine I doubt there's a way to remove it. You could potentially use TexMod to swap out the grain for a blank texture, but that's presuming upon the game using a texture for grain at all. My guess is it's generated in real-time.

I've read in older topics where is a fix for remove the film-grain. I think it's can removed comletly. Anyway, it' snot a bug or something, just an artistic decision. However, they should add a toggle for it in options.

i don't think this grain affect is part of the game though. cause i look at youtube playthroughs of remember me and they look perfectly fine compared to my version of the game. mine grainy at the first momemt i look at the beginning commericals of the game. its all like when you have nothing but that snowwy look on tv's that aren't hooked up too cable at all. mixed in with this game.

YouTube videos may do away with the film grain filter because of MPEG issues. The randomness of the grain compresses very badly, and would otherwise necessitate very high bitrate. Basically MPEG (H.264 is MPEG too) does blurring which averages the grain over time and also spatially, resulting in a smoother picture.

Yeah that's a film grain effect. I personaly love film grain in games, but some graphics cards and resolutions can have problems with the.

Post a few screenshots! The intro videos, the menu, the Sensen commercial and the whole game at anytime has film grain. When you low on heatlh the screen also looks like a bad TV transmission or something, starting cracking and falling too pixels/blocks.
