Audio cutting in and out. (possible reason not to buy.)
During the first cutscene the sound in this game starts to gradually cut out more and more. It even cuts out after the initial cutscene and into the actual gameplay. It affects my computer on a system level, even causing my skype chat to cut out as well. It's not until I exit the game that the audio problem goes away. I have looked for solutions, but none have worked thus far.

As for anyone looking to possibly buy this, know that you're possibly paying money for a game you won't be able to enjoy.

And here I thought I was the only one. I don't remember having that issue when I bought the game and played (only first hour into the game) before.

Now I upgradet my gfx card to radeon R9 280 this week and was testing how the game would run when I had this issue 3 times in an hour. A short buzz/cracking and all sound was gone.. after some time another buzz and sound is back on. I did pause the cutscene runnin at the time until sound was back so I wouldn't miss a thing. very odd

fyi: I'm on a fresh installed win7 x64 with all drivers up-to-date

Yeah, all my drivers are up to date too. I'm running a gtx 780 so it can't be your graphics card. I also tried fiddling with the graphics settings. Disabling v-sync, anti aliasing, and super sampling did nothing to solve the problem.

My problem is a tad bit different then yours though. It momentarily drops out. Here's an example.

"The first time w(e) shared our (me)mories-"

Imagine the letters in brackets being when the sound cuts out. The crazy thing is that it cuts out everything on a system wide level sound wise.

I can't find much on google about it either. Really sucks.

I can confirm this is an issue.

Edit: not enough to recommend not buying this game on sale.

hmmm i noticed this issue in some of the the unreal engine 4 demos i ran. i wander if some of the 2013-early 2014 builds for both UE3 and UE4 are unoptimized when it comes to audio

If your running Windows it could be your audio configuration under Controlpanel/Sound.
Not sure if this is a fix, but I've had this problem with skype and in other games before. it did the trick for me.

Uninstall the VJOY driver if you've installed it for some reason. Or disable the driver in computer management.

I'm not having this problem myself but I noticed that the videos use the bink format and there's also a binkw32.dll under "Remember Me\Binaries\Win32". In other games with similar problems it helped when I exchanged that file with one from another game (like from tomb raider for example). Also if you're using Realtek onboardsound it might help to upgrade to the latest driver version (R2.75): http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false
Good luck!

You! You magnificent human being! This totally worked for me! I did exactly what you said with the bink file and the audio issue went away. Is there some way to sticky this thread or make a new one so that people can see this?

Already have the latest Realtek drivers so I took a look at the DLLs and the one in the gamefolder is v1.99a with digital signature. Tomb Raider, Skyrim and Saints Row 3rd have v1.99f without signature and the most recent on my drive is v1.99m from The Darkness II. I'm a give that a try.

Try tomb raider anyway. I don't know anything about the digital signatures or whatever, but I definitely took the tomb raider dll and it worked in remember me.

Oh, that's interesting. I played Remember Me on Linux with wine and I thought it's an issue with pulseaudio or a wine bug. I already finished the game but... do I really need to buy Tomb Raider just to get the dll to fix this issue? Come on, Capcom, this should be easier than that...

Just check your (installed) games for a newer binkw32.dll than 1.99a. It's a common library not just for those 2 games. Played up to chapter 3 and had no more issues so far with 1.99m.

JCDenton, I think you got me wrong. I can do that, it's easy, yes. But I don't want to do that, it's the publisher's job. You don't buy a new car and swap the door with another car's door by yourself because the one your new car got delivered with is a little bit too small and sometimes doesn't close. It's the car manufacturers (or the sellers) job to fix that.

That's my point.
Audio cut out on me. using Maudio- Virus ti.
