Just set your status mauell as offline (i think)...

because if i'm playing another game it doesn't show that
people would think i'm working on something and i don't want any disturbance

I got the same question for this matter.
I would like to keep the application running (minimized in systemtray) but without having my status to be "ingame" all the time.

Have you tried running your game first and then Action?

Actually I did try that. As soon as I close the game the status switches to "In-app" and stays that way until I close Action again.

Makes no difference if you either start it from Steam, from desktop icon or from installed folder either.

the problem is that it runs like a game not like a software

other software i have doesn't tell steam that i'm running them and most of them run with windows start

I assume that is software purchased / installed with Steam ?
I have not yet tried any other software with Steam, only games.

-close the game
- close Action
- open another game
- open action again

same problem, and on multiplayers games, the invitations send invitation to ''play'' mirillis action!, not the game.

tried to get in touch with mirillis customer support for other issues... no reply. will buy another recording software

I contacted them via email over a week ago about this issue and absolutely no reply. Having an option in the software for running the software at start means that Steam will always show you in the program. The devs of DisplayFusion figured out how to not do that. I don't understand why this has to. I asked for a refund as well for the same reason you did.
