But make it so that there's an "undo" button.
Or make a user confirm the action by having a pop up "Do you really want to remove everything?"

However, deleting files doesn't erase the data on the drive, so you should be able to use basic file recovery utilities to undelete them.
The app DELETES the files, it doesn't send them to the recycle bin. That is why it doesn't have an undo button. It deletes the link from the table the OS reads from. The only way to recover a file deleted that way is with a file recovery program.
