AVI to MP4 [SOLVED]
The AVI Format has a better quality than MP4.
I've tried recording in AVI format using MAGIX Movie Edit Pro as my editor and the format is not supported since there's a stutter playback.

Are there any programs out there that can convert the AVI format and still retain the quality to MP4?

I've tried some couple of programs out there but it seems that Action!'s AVI format is different than the usual AVI format which none of them worked.

Converters used:
- Movavi Video Converter 17
- RealPlayer Converter
- VLC Built-in Converter

OR if there are other alternatives you can suggest on how to make the AVI format working to a video editor then please share it!

AVI format is using special video codec but this is first time I hear that you can't open audio.

Sorry for the wrong information. I actually meant stutter playback.

In that case are you sure you didn't set preview to Auto?

I think you are talking about MAGIX/SONY Vegas Pro. I'm using MAGIX Movie Edit Pro and it doesn't have the same feature where you can adjust your preview quality to something like auto.

MAGIX Movie Edit Pro doesn't really support AVI as I checked in the wiki.

Thanks for the reply. Did you mean using MP4 as the file format when recording?

I already did it and I'm getting quality loss and a bits of pixel (blurry) showing up compared to AVI's quality. Video quality in the settings is already at Ultra.

The main issue I'm having here is that..

Out of those 3 video converters I used, they weren't able to convert the Action!'s AVI format to MP4 and appears to be corrupted and unsupported.

There might be other video converters out there that supports this recorder's AVI format or maybe there's really something wrong in the AVI format created when converting it.

I mean exporting AVI to MP4. Select your AVI recording from Video recordings list and below that list you will find export button (with arrow), next to FB button.

Ooh! I didn't know there's such thing. Thank you for re-introducing this feature. I probably missed the update about it because it wasn't there when I've bought it long ago.

This thread was quite old before the recent posts, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
