DOS versions remain after update
Just want to say that the DOS versions remain after the update and can still be started. So there's no need to be afraid of the update, it doesn't force you into using the Bethesda/id version.

Does it keep the original WADS or update them to remove the red crosses on medkits etc?

The nerve remasters use the green medkit wads, if you launch through dosbox then it loads up the original WADs

That's good to hear at least. Steam and GOG were the only places I was aware it had og medkits. I remeber having to use slade to change the kits on doom64

You can thank the Red Cross for copyrighting/trademarking the symbol and asking for money from anybody who dares to use it on a medkit (real or virtual). :-P

The green cross symbol is fine with me, the red pill was meh though.

Yeah it's not a big deal but doom and doom 2 released before it became a rule

Sure, but the rerelases are treated like brand new games. Stupid, I know, but what else can be done apart from licensing the symbol (which, I read is hard because the Red Cross supposedly refuses selling licenses to so called "brutal" games).
