New updated demo & known issues

Greetings everyone! I have a small update for the demo that has fixed a few things and added a small amount of content. There is now a shotgun in the game and a little puzzle you'll have to solve to retrieve it. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Changes made in this build: - Lowered the amount of zombies and adjusted damage values for weapons. - Zombies should die a bit faster now with the pistol and there is now a bonus amount of damage applied ...

Hello everyone! I am incredibly excited to announce that the Demo for House of Lies will be coming October 11th, 2024.

We've put a lot of work into this demo and I am so excited to share it with you all.

House of Lies is a first person, survival horror game inspired by classic survival horror like Resident Evil. Set in a giant mansion full of zombies, puzzles and mysteries to uncover. I hope you enjoy the demo and look forward to the full experience!

Hello everyone!

I am very excited to reveal some new screenshots and info on a new demo I have been hard at work on.

House of Lies has undergone some major changes that I feel will represent the game much better.

I have created brand new environments that you'll explore in the upcoming demo. The AI has been completely re-written with a much better base to work with now that allows us to implement new features and different enemies.

Enjoy some new screenshots of the new areas and I will have another update soon with a date for the demo.

The mansion looks really good in this game. However, there are several other issues that ruined it for me. I experienced lots of frame rate drops in 4k resolution with an RTX3080 and i9 processor when entering new areas no matter what I selected in the graphic options. This game also made my pc fans race high with high gpu temps. Mouse sensitivity also does not save and reverts back to a high setting, which makes camera movement seem light and unsmooth. There are also WAY too many zombies just standing aro...

I actually really liked this, I wanted to keep playing but I encountered a bug where if i had the broken shotgun and my other slots full, attempt to swap for the real shotgun, it would infact make the broken shotgun vanish from existance and i cant leave the room without the shotgun, locking me into only using the pistol.. which is annoying but fine. It wasnt until I realized that one of those inventory slots was also the hall key which had been replaced by ammo when i picked up shotgun ammo earlier on, wh...

Demo feedback

Overall the game looks promising for an initial start. Technical - Rooms lighting up only when entering is a bit jarring (there's a few hallways around the map that I encountered this in. I suggest figuring out how to get constant lighting levels there. Technical - noticed white edges/lines up on the ceiling in the first room, in the corner where one places the complete disc to get out. Not sure what's causing that, it seemed to come and go. Technical - Walls seem to vanish here and...
