Randomly starts making a loud fan noise and then restarts - Please help!
So, I was playing multiplayer when my PC started making a loud fan noise for about 1 second, and then restarts. I have no idea how to fix this. I would be very happy if some of you guys know how to fix this. This also happens in Far Cry 4, Viking Conquest and some other games. Thanks.

It means your PC most likely overheating as of the fan was trying to cool it down

Not that I know of but a better computer may work or try to lower how the game runs

It sounds like your CPU is overheating. What are your system specs?

open ur case, clean the dust, apply thermal paste to heatsink.
also check ur cpu temperature using speccy
i guess you have to open up your cpu case. check for dust and dirts that may have accumulated on your processor heat sink. check graphic cards fans and heat sink as well. clean them. if you can, or if you have the knowledge and skill, you may need to remove the heat sinks as well, apply new thermal paste as yours may have hardened already and is no longer effective transferring the heat from the processor to the heat sink. Otherwise, seek some professional help.

Are you sure it's the fan? Loud noises and restarts could be from a drive ready to conk out.

yep, do this. Most likely your CPU fan has come unseated (meaning it isnt tightly sealed to the chip it's supposed to be cooling.) You can buy thermal paste for a few dollars from any computer/electronics store. You should probably check out instructional guides on youtube before you start smearing the paste all over your board

It could be your power supply as well, when i first got my pc built the psu was broken and every time i launched a game the pc shut down because it did not have enough power.

Maybe run it with the case off so you can confirm which fan(s) are kicking in? I had a dodgy video card and each time right before it flaked out the fans would all kick in.

Think the easiest would be supplying a DxDiag. You may also want to contact Customer Support at support.heroesandgenerals.com for official support from us.
