Matchmaker putting us Australians in generally terrible servers.

I'm just posting to see how it is that matchmaker does not have a simple enough feature to filter by ping?

TL:DR: Please consider a filter option for matchmaker and consider facilitating decent servers for those outside of the U.S/Europe, Australia did fight in WWII as well so don't forget us too...

I mean, I've accepted the fact that at the moment that I need to wait for up to 10-15 mins for a match sometimes, what I can't accept though is the issue that 9 in 10 of the servers that I get matched to are servers where I consistently average around 400-500 for ping.

I have a nice DSL connection so it's quite frustrating that for that one match where my connection is good, I will consistently be the top scorer for the match, only to have to suffer with another nine rounds of mediocre game play simply cause playing on a 500 ping server against people with 40-50 ping is not a good equation for game play.

It's becoming more frustrating every time on these servers where I need to SPECIFICALLY develop a habit of shooting ahead of players by anticipating two seconds from the time I fire, to actually seeing the bullet hit a guy, all within a distance of about.....two to five meters?

I'm not sure about others within Australia (can't speak for others outside of the country), but these days it's just a matter of me hopping into the server after 10 mins of matchmaking, hitting F7 and just generally spending the next 90 seconds of the lobby timer dreading what a horrible experience this will be on a server with an average of 400 ping, setting aside the other concerns of seeing a lineup of level 0-8's against a team of tankers and the other nuances of matchmaker.

There was a time where I was going to actually going to consider spend money on this game, but currently at the state it is (it's beta so credit is due to where it has gotten so far for Reto-Moto), cost-benefit analysis will prove that it is not in my interests to pay for a game which is set up against me from the beginning.

So at this stage this is what I think I will do Reto-Moto, I have $100 here on my desk, I will SPECIFICALLY LEAVE THIS MONEY ASIDE FOR YOU, should you consider this humble request of mine, I will gladly hand over the money in the form of gold purchases or whatnot, until then, I'm more than happy to leave it sitting aside in my desk draw until I see that you've adequately addressed this concern of mine.

Now some would argue, why bother with Australia at all? Well Reto-Moto, this may be a fair question for the average Dane in Denmark on the other side of the world. Now while your fair country has a nice nuzzling population of 5.6 million estimated for 2015, good ol' Australia has a measly 2015 forecast for something like 23 million people.

So from our viewpoint, however egotistical as it may sound to you, I would like to think that economically you would be more than keen enough to try and win some of us over. Or you could be completely justified with the argument that "Australia is a crappy market and not worth it to service", just send us the registration statistics of Australians as a proportion of the "supposed 5 million registrations" you've claimed with your recent promotion and I'll be happy to leave it at that.

So until then, apologies in advance to the players in the servers that matchmaker sends me to, I WILL be spending the time in the lobby to yell profanities at the matchmaker EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm in a server with over 400 ping, I'm hating the matchmaker, not you guys, if anything, I enjoy playing with you guys (just not with 500 ping).

So do put up with me cause as much as I would like to leave the server and let you guys play on your own, matchmaker currently has made it destiny for me to play with you : )

Seems to me the servers DO filter by ping. That's been my experience anyway.

Are you talking staged battles or war?

On the war side if you choose pick battle you can see the ping represented in a graph. Green for low, red for high.

There is a server hosted in Sydney.

The problem is that finding a war match is pretty hard so i usually play staged.

For staged it usually drops me in the aussie server (70 ping) or sometimes, depending on player numbers, an asian server (140 ping), not sure where it is, which is playable.

if i'm levelling badges in staged the matchmaker never puts me further than US west coast and the majority of staged battles are Aussie ping...

Im in Australia and I dont notice too much of an issue. The green connection status seems to be the best, but I have no clue where Im connecting to? The only server information I get is when I first log in and its always the same server, just the single option. Where can you see the server info?

whoever joins first designates where the game is hosted. say you see an empty server and the ping is green and you jump in it then the server will be set to sydney.. if someone from denmark is the first in there then that's where the server will host from...

im either 70 ping or 100-160 on asian server... My issue is joining battle that are about to end, or where your team has wasted all the recources before you can even spawn a vehicle.

Nobody cares about us down under here. It has always been like that for all the MMOs ive ever played. Occasionally we will get a server that claims to be oz but is really asia. We have an enormous gaming community here and it seems mad to ignore us.

This has been causing me to curse incessantly. The damn flaming ping is (though lower than yours most of the time it seems) 170s to 250 usually, but I manage to squeeze into a match with 50 ping on the rare night, after that though, I have to hit the jackpot to get into consecutive 50 ping games. Pisses me right off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Americans get put in long distance servers too, not just Aussies, especially for war matches.
