Don't do what I tell you.
SMGs in general are almost always better than the rifles, so I would still take the PPD over the SVT-40.
Soviet 71 round SMG drum weight 1.94 kg, german 32 round SMG magazine - 0,67 kg. One 71 PPSh-41 drum ~= 2,9 (!) MP38/40 magazines.
A similar situation with the US M1 carbine. Wearable ammunition for M1 Carbine extremely overvalued.
Has anyone tried modding the MP34 too? That thing is an absolute beast when modded. However it's mag size lets it down hard
Yes, by far ... the MP34 is just a can opener and is the weakest SMG in the game. It is slow to deploy and slow as hell.
Still it can be made effective despite what ppl say.
Controlled bursts aimed lower at the body walk damage up the enemy at range. Room clear? Hold trigger, run like hell, kill everything.
With the PPD-40, no more circling around the door way down sights, now I just rush in hipfiring this thing, dust, gun powder, guts, blood and feces flying everywhere, and the magazine isn't even half empty. I did this on the airfield map observation tower, and took out 5 Americans in one magazine. I never used its iron sights.
It does however lack long range performance, but it's a beast at medium to close range, and at keeping the enemy at bay. I think it will be easy getting to the PPSH with this baby.
Useless. At least stock, it is.
