Rust coated MP40 skin

I was playing war match with us against soviets, one of the soviet guys had captured mp40 and it had litterally rust coat skin. Whats up with that? Anybody knows?

rust skin is aviable if you buy the weapon with the pop when you unlocked it as far I know

nope, there is indeed a rust skin for the MP40. But i've seen it only a few times in the entire game, so not sure if this was only available at a specific time period or if you can still buy it. Only for the captured version, of course.

The answer is quite simple actually, that's just the default skin for the captured MP40. Same for one or two other captured weapons (e.g. the P08 pistol and possibly a couple of others).

Good to know. I found that this Skin also exists for the MP34, Grease Gun, and the Kar98.
Does anyone know how the default skin for the Gewehr 43 looks like? There is one in the game files that look like a well-worn design with Bandages as reinforcements for the rifle...

Another question, do you have to buy the "normal" skin for your captured weapon? Because the majority of Players that use captured weapons that should come with this rusty skin (e.g. the MP40) have the normal skin on their weapon.
