So in short:
which one is better ?
It depends on your preference. In short: both guns perform well at short and medium range, with the M1/M2 carbine being better at short range, due to its much higher rate of fire. It also takes less space, so you can equip anti tank charges (for example).
The STG has the advantage beyond ranges of 50 metres, due to higher damage retention of the bullet.
Bullet spread of both guns makes the addition of a scope unfit for long range shooting, but can improve their performance at lower ranges.
For a more in-depth info you will have to watch at least the first 3 minutes of each video.
btw i made a thread on h&g forums about the price to maintain and buy the usa scope seems your not biased towards any faction so i could use your opinion on that.
the StG is a great all around weapon with a decent maintain cost..
The scope is the price hammer on both weapons. I don't find it necessary on either the STG or the Carbine.
they are not so much op but more filling in a gap between ranges without being the best in any of them.
I really love how he goes over every detail of both weapons. Thanks for sharing :)
