Grenade Throwing.
A s**t tactic I see from a lot of people is throwing grenades at incredibly close ranges from behind cover, or when they get overwhelmed and begin to lob that at CQC. The speed at which you can prepare the grenade is too fast. So, to make this tactic less scrubby and effective, make it so that grenades are thrown faster but are prepared slower. This way, they can be effective at longer-than-close ranges and can't be used for moments where you can abuse the speed of a grenade to save your f**king undeserving a*s from death.

+100. Infact, if we could just see the grenades removed from the game, that 'd be great, although I know thats not going to happen.

I mean, grenades were an integral part of World War II. I just hate how they're being used; short throwing time, plenty available for spamming, and people use them for situations a grenade SHOULDN'T be used in.

Exactly. Far too often will I be shooting at a russian, and instead of him shooting back, he ill just hide in the corner and lob 4 grenades at me. Pathetic.

Guess what in real life people didn't stand in the open under tank and rifle fire. In real life when an mg opened up people droped to the ground to not get killed. In real life if you didn't go the obejective that you had been ordered to hold/take you got shot.

Well grenades are a weapon that belongs to WW2. This isn't an arena shooter after all. But I think that the number of grenades soldiers can carry is a bit excessive. I don't think that any soldier back then carried 4 hand grenades on him.

how about them suicide paras that take all grenades.

Grenade is very important part of assault, but I agree that some people overdo with it sometimes. I also agree that preparation time should be increased, possibly similar to that of H3 mine.

Analyse what is happening when preparing grenade.
1st sec. reach for grenade.
2nd sec. pull it out.
3rd sec. pull pin or unscrew cap
Ready to throw

So it looks like preparation time between throws should be approximately 2-3 seconds. What do you guys think?

+1

That would be a good way of handling the issue. It would also make sense in terms of how grenades operate for real.
I'd also like the option to "cook" a grenade; that is to keep the grenade in your hand for a few seconds, to have it explode on impact.

This might cause accidents. Imagine that you start "cooking" grenade... lag... *BOOM*

It might! It did in real life, but that's the risk you take. You can throw the grenade earlier, if you want, of course.
I'm not aware that many people in this game suffer from lag issues, though.

Yes, for increased preparation time between throws.
No, for "cooking".

I love it. I dont use grenades at all to save a lot of credits. But i really start to smile when guys throw 2 - 3 grenades at me at a range of 5 to 30m, like im a chicken looking for some dry bread <3. They are spamming grenades! 40 credits for killing me vs running costs of about 142 to 426. Sure you have a higher chance to survive and kill more guys, but i doubt that works out. That explains everyone out of credits..

I'm actually pretty glad no one's raging right now.

I could argue how not wanting "cooked" grenades is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! :)
That would turn the discussion toxic in no time! ;)
