Do you think that after the merger of TLM and Endava, HnG2 is a dead project and we won't play HnG again? No information from the creators, silence and uncertainty...

As a "veteran" (playing since 2014 when realesed on Steam and over 1300 or maybe 1400 hours playtime (not sure in these numbers)) I am sure, we may not see H&G2 ...

maybe it would have become a good game, but I doubt it, first shown things were really dissapointing... but hope was there, maybe the shown pre-alpha footage was just for showing whats possible with TLM and the new engine and it would have become a real "game-changer" and really awesome.

But after the broken (?) (idk how to say it in other words in english language) KickStarter-project, they said they may hold on, but as they said IF the Kickstart campaign fails, there will be no H&G2... so I hope it will be, but i really doubt it, that the "new born" H&G will come alive, sadly......

Oh and as I have seen right now... you are a "real" veteran .. over 3000h, respect O.O

I've been playing HnG since March 2014. 3300 hours on steam and about 500 hours on the browser. I witnessed the ups and downs of this game. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that 2 will never be created and February 15, 2023 was the last day I played it ;//

I feel you... I never had any "real" problems overall with H&G like many others .. even my old PC managed to serve only at 16-22 fps and it was still fun, it was and will ever be my most favorite game,
not even the buggy things like flying tanks or other funny or even hilarious things (which would have never happen it if was a AAA game (okay nowadays that's a different story...)) but the community was so awsome,
even with the enemy you had so much fun...

Wait till I get off the bike and hurl my shovel to yo' head, and the enemy tries to hold up and pulls out the knife and then some random teammate rolls you over in his Jeep/Kübel the enemy wistles loudly, and both were bombed to dust from the enemies mates fighter pilot ...

those kinda memories... so heart warming haha

This was my "main" game. I specifically bought a new computer in 2016 to have better gameplay in HnG XDD, but playing at 20FPS was also fun. I have the most nostalgic memories from before remake all the maps. The Mountain Town with this big hill by the train station was something beautiful... When they announced the production of part 2, I was even happy. Now I just feel empty. Even though this game annoyed me at times, sometimes I got fed up with it. It even happened that I had breaks after a few months when I didn't play, but I always came back and then I played for hours

I think they should've set the money goal for 100-300k and once the goal was met, approach potential investors with the community support. The money goal was insane for how small the community is.

I do hope they can pull something off. This version of H&G will always be missed, a flawed and badly managed game. Yet a simple and fun WW2 FPS.

Developers mentioned about the middle of 2024, there and see what they will show us, whether it will be another video, demo or participation in the beta test....
Now to say anything about whether or not the game will be released is like guessing at coffee grounds - a stupid and pointless endeavor.
Wait for official statements from the developers, and in the meantime you can gather information from their previous performances.

I think it is, very little chance that they bring back the game. Companies usually dont have a soft spot for anything unless it makes them bank but that wont happen with hng. The reality is that hng was kept alive mostly by old veterans, i didnt want a new game but if it meant the game could go on in some way then i accepted it. Although how they handled the kickstarter and how they shut down the original game without even having working vehicle physics in the new one was unacceptable. That old me all i needed to know that it was a cashgrab to save their company, prove by the fact they got bought.

There have been people talking about making a new game from the community but i doubt this will be fruitful as this things are usually driven by impulse and not any want to finish it. Some have even brought up the idea of reviving the servers which is something i can actually get behind but everytime i check on it its just frankly ran by idiots and amatures who dont take advice.

RIP to this game, i actually cried a lot when i learned it was shutdown. Partly because i missed the final hours but also because i knew i will never get it back again.

I played since 2012, I have very fond memories of this game, from calculating how many rounds I needed to play to unlock my first thompson, to consistantly getting on top of the match leaderboards ^^

Although I truly hope H&G2 is still in the works, I have my doubts,

I believe that opening the fundraiser on kickstarter and the horrendously high amount was just a scam. According to TLM, H&G was supposed to be removed a long time ago because the game was unprofitable, they didn't want to shut down the servers without an excuse, so they promised H&G2 for $2 million, then they will say that as players, we don't try to collect much and the project fails.

Anyway, I hope I'm wrong. By the way, recently on the official discord I saw an administrator from TLM with an interesting avatar, he reminded me a bit of a soldier from World War II in the style of H&G2

Don't count on H&G 2, and even if it did come out, I'd be skeptical seeing as how they went about trying to raise money for it.
