Not really... that's what makes H&G unique.
And no... it's still not "dying" for the 5,398th time...

last 4 months : -2,196.4, -85.4 , -17,581 , -13,262.9
Also, RIP tf2?

Also, some players are playing on the standalone version of the game, which has less bugs. This means that the actual number of players is higher than what steamcharts is telling you
Agreed...
People love to overuse the "iT's DyInG!" way too much.... every game has a spike when it first starts and tapers off... no game has ever gone on indefinitely nor constantly gained players over time... none.
Side note:
Not only the "standalone" H&G launcher... but there's many different launchers, Epic Games has one too, https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p/heroes-and-generals-wwii that also doesn't show how many players use it in SteamCharts either.
Understood... Apostol and I aren't "judging" you... we're just trying to explain, that's all.
Steam Charts can be misleading... and 2K players isn't a bad thing... H&G is usually around the "Top 200" games on Steam of the 50,361 games available in 2021, that's not too shabby... "Subnautica" has 2K players as well, I wouldn't call it a "dead game" either, lol.

Glad to see you try it again... if the Steam version gives you problems try the "Stand alone" version of the launcher off of H&G's home webpage ( some find it better ) and even if you don't like it afterwards... at least you tried and decided for yourself rather then just assume.
Good luck.
Wanna know why? Because there is no copy of H&G around, only games that come close (e.g. Planetside 2, but that is sci-fi and doesn't have an RTS part like H&G).
And Enlisted has entirely no meta level above the FPS level.
Dude the game is on 2 distribution platforms and has a standalone launcher (which is the most stable of the 3 versions for whatever reason).
So there is a Steam version, an Epic Version and a Standalone version. But the Steam DB site only registers the players playing it through steam. That can fool you.
Also, you can see that the game doesn't have only 2000 players, it has more like 3000, if you check out the hourly-thing from steamcharts.
Also, every game is slowly dying. Some are dying faster, some are dying slower. This is still not a reason to stop playing it. I see that you're playing War Thunder quite a lot. Why play it? It will surely die in ~10-20 years, so it's a dying game.
