Crashing to desktop "potential fix" for GTX 1650 and maybe RTX graphic cards.

Sorry for making the title too long.

I'm opening this thread to offer people a potential fix (I mean, not sure if it will solve it but it has a high chance) who suffers a crash without warning when a battle is found.

Ok so Nvidia released a new update for graphic drivers and in the patch notes there was written some fixes for shading.

There were other specific fixes for GTX 1650 graphic cards, and some for RTX.

I think this will solve problem for most. Try installing the 446.14 nvidia graphic driver, anybody dealing with this problem.

When I installed the new Nvidia Driver update 446.14 I still had the same issue. I tried running the Standalone H&G Client but the same "crashing to desktop" issue happens. So I reverted to version 445. 87, but the game still crashes to desktop while loading the match.

If you guys does not have any issue with latest nvidia updates just tell me okay...its been while this problems occured and not solved

i don't have any issue. 446.14-desktop-win10-64bit-international-dch-whql. GPU is GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. I suggest do a clean custom install, do not install audio, disable geforce experience and do not let it run. If you can use DVI connector, do so, avoid HDMI. No tweak needed. Just check if low latency is off (default is off). Hope it helps, since we have a different nvidia cards.

May I ask if it is a desktop pc or a laptop one? It might happen to be a laptop-specific issue with gtx16 - rtx20 graphic cards.

-I can play this game easily on a laptop with GTX 1660 Ti and some others too.

Ok so I admit it's something with Nvidia settings. It might be specific configurations letting people play on Nvidia Control Panel or Nvidia Geforce Experience. Don't know if it will help but I will share how I play.

I directly downloaded this game from browser and play from there. I did not let Nvidia to optimize the game from Nvidia Geforce Experience. I use the balanced graphic settings on Nvidia Control Panel (first tab) and checked the box: "let nvidia decide best graphic something something". Then I just changed H&G settings, such as "max performance" (still from Nvidia Control Panel). I disabled Directx 12 and flames for this game (you can change it from the cogwheel, then settingd located in main menu) and use medium graphics (in-game menu).

Hope it helps even a bit.

sounds right to me/for me i do a manual set up on my g. card
have you tried reinstalling the drivers?
updated the drivers?
roll back to a older version to see if it get rid of your hic up your dealing with?

i also forgot to ask
for the other windows drivers that Nvidia might need does it ask for any more further windows drivers because to be honest i find it odd months ago when you was playing did not have to much of a problem and now all of a sudden your windows or the game its self is starting to have hic ups out of the blue
