just got back into the game haven't played for a while. what's this talk about a prototype server and stuff?

The Traction test is over, now they are testing a revised RTS UI.

Honestly, there isn't much to see. The new UI looks nice, but that's it, really. A lot (if not all) of the prior RTS flaws are still there, so it isn't much different from the new system.

The Prototype server is separate server from the main game where the developers allow players to test out features that have been in development, so they may receive feedback on them and tweak as needed. The most recent addition to prototype is the Assault Team optimization which is centered around the RTS, or Generals side of the game.
