Heroes & Generals

Heroes & Generals

Is being a general worth it?
What exactly are the perks I'm sure it isn't for fun on the battle map overview. Do they make loads of credits and whatnot?

Generals are only "tokens" for owning more assault teams in the rts.

They don't play in the fps.

They don't make ANY credits at all, only warfunds for the rts IF the assault teams you assing to him are able to make profit because of the players that use his resourses in the war map.

All weapons, vehicles and stuff owned by the general character (if he was a promoted soldier and NOT an academy trained general) go to the depot to be tranfered to any other soldier that ALREADY unlocked the access to that item.

Generals are "not worthy" for 99% of the player base.

Depends if you want to control Armies in the War part of the Game.
Otherwise they cant play the Guy.

Well...just rank up another guy to 16 and you have a general's worth of assault squads. That's why it's 99% meh. It dosen't give any bonuses, and you're litterally just loseing all the grinding you had put in to your soldier. I have one of my 15 soldiers for each faction to be a general, but 'generaly' speaking I have no drive to switch him over. It's really just for astetics mostly. Even if you buy him you don't get the badges they put in place for playing war mode and help assault teams.

you can play the Generals part of the game without a "general"... all you need is a level 12 character. to answer your question, yes, the Generals part of the game is worth it. The assault teams assigned to a character earn that character xp. Which in turn levels your characters up way faster than just playing the War map. Which also earns you more credits because you play FPS with higher leveled characters.... Bottom line is, yes it helps tremendously, and takes hours of FPS play away by earning tons of XP on the Character limiting the grind of leveling Rank up to 17.

My opinion, having a single general and some high ranking soldiers is nice to participate, but if you want to do anything viable on the strategy map (which is not he action game), yoou need 10 or more Generals.

Start with level 12's... AT's will rank them up. Your allowed 30 FPS characters per faction.
Phoenix you are refering to the characters of the same faction right? Not all characters in general? Also you can do this while level 12 without general right? The xp bonus?

I rephrase: if you want to have an impact in the strategy map, you need 10+ Generals (of a single faction). To attack a city on your own you should have at least as many troops as in a staged match.

If you just want to spawn a few ATs, get some warfunds etc. and move them around on the map you don't even need a general. Medium - High ranking soldiers can command ATs as well.

I think the xp bonus you refer to, is by just playing war matches for which you do not even need AT (assault teams).
