_put the flak jacket badge and if you are veteran feel free to put bombs away or other plane related badges
-focus on air superiority first aka enemy planes (ignore para planes and ground target )
-stay with teammates

You usually can't shake off a pursuer, that's where your teammate comes to help you.

It sure is difficult, agreed. Knowing the map well helps with this sometimes. But the good pilots won't be losing you any time soon. xD

A good wingman is definitely the best thing to have when flying.

you can press control or shift for a set of alternate controls which neuter the need for mouse dragging

my list :
-#1 dont fly alone!
-travel time is important
-evasion is also really important

in recon and heavy you can switch to the rear gun to get some extra shots in after you pass another fighter or maybe even get some pursuers off

Always lower your altitude when you spawn, and look left right and behind you in case someone is "spawn camping".
Focus enemy fighters.
Always fly low to reduce the chance of being skylined and seen, and only gain altitude when engaging an enemy.
Keep an eye on your teammates and help them.
Learn to fly with only your keyboard when you're looking for a target, so that you keep the mouse free for the orbit camera, the orbit camera is your best friend !
If there are too many enemy dogfighters drop the bomb(s) when you spawn so that you start resupplying right away.
But the most important tip is GIT GUD :P

EDIT : watch this guy's videos he's the best pilot IMO :P learn the maneuvers he's using. I learned from him i played with him and against him and i can tell you that he is the boss :P https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXvh7fBnShFV2-nFSna8Vrg
