Serious Sam Classics: Revolution

Bad Syncs?
So, in every multiplayer game I have joined, after a minute or so I get a Bad Sync message and I am disconnected.

Is this a known issue at the moment? I have a few mods installed, the only one that is in every map I play being the Xbox model workshop mod for the weapon models and monster models, but that is it.

Seems like mods are causing this, and we're looking into ways of solving this.

maybe im cap but cause of bad sync are monsters (as i think)

Its mainly the CRC check that happens when a client is playing with mods that sends data to the server/host. The CRC on the client side with mods is not agreeing with mods that are potentially the same or no mods at all on the host/server side.

Not sure about custom maps, but anything that changes the appearance of the original game could lead to CRC errors.

And what if my friend has only one mod (knife changed on fists). Will it lead to crc errors??

It shouldn't, syncbads have been "fixed" in Revolution in a way that usually you won't get kicked in versus modes, but this is still a problem in cooperative, which I'm looking into fixing as well.

I'made another disscussion about it. And there is a screen of bad syncs in versus mod.

My friends has a bad sync every time we use mine thrower weapon

I have NO mods installed this only started happening today when playing with my friend. I get a message spammed in the top left for a few seconds and then I have to reconnect.

Also can you PLEASE fix sacred yards. It seems like most of the old annoying glitches have returned (slow ass laser gun anyone) and I'm not sure Sacred Yards was ever fixed to be honest. Same as it always has been, if you touch the top step your game lags out and you either get blown up or fall through the map. Sometimes you don't even need to, sometimes just being in that error for a while can cause this to happen and it makes Sacred Yards completely unplayable. Also please for hte love of god fix that damned laser gun. The laser gun is basically a more powerful minigun, when it shoots at half speed it is utterly useless

We are working on it. The thing is that Sacred Yards was fixed internally, then it weirdly reverted. It's a very difficult bug to fix, since it might be using some very specific TFE-only code, like similar to the rain in Hatshepsut. We are constantly looking for solutions, and even tried working with Croteam's programmers to find a solution, but no luck yet.

Angelo, we should probably have another session with AlenL after E3 to try to find solutions to these bugs.
