Far as I know, the only thing NOT from Serious Sam TFE or TSE are the loading screen tips, so that's the only thing that could possibly be the reference.
In case you can't tell, the reference flew over my head in-game given that I've seen most if not all of the loading screen tips and didn't see anything that screamed "lol pony" :/ If indeed it is incredibly obscure, I don't really care; it'd have to be in-your-face for me to really give a gnaar's rear end about it.
It needs to go
OK, really dumb question: is it the Lost Gnaar loading tip? If it is, I don't view that as all that bad as, 1. it's been edited to be Sam-ified, and 2. unless you actually knew more about ponies than "its a show for little girls", you'd probably think it was just a silly little message and nothing more.
Signed, a female MLP fan(I hate that I have to state my gender here, but I don't want to be accused of being a mindless brony who wants everything ponified).
"20% coller" and "in 10 seconds flat" are both quotes of Rainbow Dash, and 16.5 is her wingpower. I think we now know who is Angelo's favorite pony.
Oh, and they should totally stay.
As this will be either give a reaction range of "oh i get this reference" to "what the hell is this doing here"
Things have been silent about it but its not gonna stay that way for long, This video proves it, Eventually this is going to blow up to unmanageable proportions, I seriously doubt this is the kind of reception aligator pit would want for themselves.
Admittedly, though, scrapping the Wingpower reference might be a smart idea as having two pony references may anger some Serious Sam fans, and the Wingpower reference is a bit more obvious as to its origins than the 20% cooler reference (since, y'know, a lot of nerds likely use percentages for stuff without even being aware of it being used by ponies; I know I do, with constantly using things like "I'm 99.9% sure I emptied the dishwasher" :/ ). Still, though, both are pretty obscure and you'd have to actually know more about ponies than "its a show that girls and some older guys like" to actually notice them being a pony reference :/
The protagonist is always right.
