Stay Serious, folks!

Hi there, I'm interested on creating some maps for Serious Sam Revolution, but I have no prior experience with the editor. I was wondering where should I start since there's no guide provided with the program and I'm not really sure where to find specific tutorials for SS Revo... Hope someone can help me!

There's a help folder inside the game's main folder, you can find the editor tutorials there.

Hello. There used to be a bunch of great tutorials on seriouszone.com years ago but they seem to be gone now. I backed them up years ago though because I knew they probably wouldn't be there forever. I have put them in a .zip file and uploaded the zip file.

Here ya go guys. Just open the Tutorial Menu.htm file in the main folder and that page is a menu that provides access to all of the tutorials. I hope this will be very helpful to the community!

There is ton's of great information in there. Happy mapping!

Add those to the Help folder too!

Thats a great idea!

Man, that's exactly what I was looking for Megafont, thanks a bunch! Post these tutorials in a Steam Guide when you've got time, they'll be a really useful resource for newcomers like me

I remembered I had them and I though I should post them somewhere since they're not up on that site anymore! That's a good idea to put them in a Steam Guide. I'll look into it!

EDIT:
There may be a problem with this idea. The general mapping tutorial has no author listed so I assume it was written by the Seriously! Website. I would need to ask them for permission to reproduce it here. And theres a notice at the bottom of the page saying that "All files, maps, mods, etc. are © Copyright their original creators, and are posted here with permission." So I would need to email each author, assuming they provided their email on the tutorial and that it still works.

As an admin of the Seriously! forums, I think I can give permission to reproduce. :)

Oh that helps! Does that include ones written by the community too?

Does being an admin grant you permission to decide about the work of others? :P

Though, I don't think anyone will mind.

I gave permission about the one "written by the Seriously! Website". :P

Which one is that?

I guess the general mapping tutorial, it seems.

But yeah, I don't think anyone would mind if these tutorials were included in the game. (Also, the help file still doesn't load from the editor.)

Ok I'll put the general mapping tutorial up in a steam guide for now then :) I'll have the guide up sometime later tonight as long as the storms don't knock out the power or anything like that. Though so far it has yet to even storm here lol.

Hey guys, the basic mapping tutorial is up as a Steam Guide now. You can find it here:

I am also considering writing some additional sections of my own on topics covered in some of the other old tutorials if there is enough interest in me doing so.
