Serious Sam Classics: Revolution

Serious Sam Classics: Revolution

Disgusting behaviour Devs (Alligator pit)
Not a single update since December 2016 (A year and a half as of writing this). Disgraceful. You must really think of the people who paid for this as worthless.

I have friends who are making games and have them on early access, and whilst progress may be slow as it is not their full time job, they still have the decency to update their players.

I have also worked with bad game companies that have had their games go through early access and then screw their customers over one way or another, those companies are doing poorly now, not undeservingly.

I also heard your other Serious sam game you made whilst giving up on this had poor sales. The person this was coming from claimed it was becuse the steam store is cluttered however I think you can see I disagree.
Why on earth would I give you more money when you have not updated this in 1 1/2 years because you went to make another serious sam game. I know you deny that but when you had hundreds of hours in an unreleased game, work for the same company (Alligator pit) and hadn't updated this since December 2016... what does it look like?

Again I've seen other companies do this but even then they updated the players with what they were doing, although they still crash and burned as people don't much like paying for something that is meant to be in development and then the developers go off and make another game leaving what you paid for in the dust.

Sadly they can't admit that the project is dead, as they have not met advertised features, such as the new campaign. If they did the game would be delisted, the project pulled, and since its early access everyone refunded. That said it's EXTREMELY scummy.

I've been playing the game for 40 hours or so and didn't encountered a single major problem, so the game is pretty playable, definitely an upgrade over the originals and feels great.

Sure, there's a lot of features that were promised and still no clues on release date, but keep in mind this game was quite often on sale for 0,99cts. For 99cts, I think i've not been robbed in any way, even if some features are missing.

Some answers from the devs would be appreciated obviously, but as far as I'm aware, this was a fan-made mod endorsed by Croteam, the team wasn't huge and they didn't made a lot of money from it. We can't ask the same level of work from them than from Croteam itself. Last answer from the dev was less than a year ago, and they're apparently still working on it. Let's wait and see, I won't complain any way 'cause I got it for less than a buck and it made my investment much more than worthy.

Take notes that we've seen devs like Running With Scissors updating their games 10 years after the original release date, so a year or so for a very shot team isn't a big problem to me.

I still do agree with your main points, updates are something, answers take less than 20 seconds in most case, at least that would be cool.

The game is great and decent. But what upsets me is they left before the dedicated server was fixed!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR..............................................

That hurts the community that plays it!!! Least leave it in a usable state!

I tried the first level of Revolution on Steam and Classic on GoG. I think that Revolution is different and give a bad feeling; I thought it should make the Classic games run on new hardwares and OS as they were, but then why can't I jump well to take the secret rocket luncher on the roof? I manage at like the thirteenth time; then I try Classic and I manage at the first. Jump is different and in Revolution is not better.

for 1 i didn't pay .99 cents, i paid around $8.
If i got it for 1$ i wouldn't have cared much but even then i would have siad NO THX & payed the originals in SP mode.
Funny some one mentions postal 2, i grabed it today just cause they some DLC for it & it was all for around $2.
