Huge Latency *fixed*
Following fix worked for me: Activate Windowed mode, and download the following small program: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=30525996 (This forces borderless window mode i.e. fullscreen)

Now the fps are at least 31 fps, but the main thing: Controller input lag is completely gone and the game plays super responsive!

Old Post:

24/30 fps here, too. But even with 30 fps, I find the 360 controller input latency huuuge. It feels like almost half a second until Mickey reacts to my input, this can't be right? It is, if not unplayable, very unenjoyable to play right now.

I just checked the X360 Demo on the same TV with the same Controller - it feels noticably more responsive there. Still a lot of latency, but only about half as bad as on PC.

This feels sooo bad to play :( What a pity. It looked so charming... hopefully someone can mod the PC Version.

P.s.: Input lag seems to be lower than on X360, now. It really plays wonderful now. Great Game.

Combined with another fix I finally got it working on my TV without input lag and general spazzing out. Thanks mate

How to get in widowed mode outside of the ingame options? Alt-enter does nothing and making an shortcut with the "-window" command line doesn't work either.

Just check the window option ingame. It should stay in Window mode from then on.

After that, force it into borderless window mode with the little tool.

Kaffeebohanson, have you tried going back to fullscreen mode again, after having done windowed? I did, and now it's running native 1080p in fullscreen mode just fine o_O

Here's what happened. I decided to see if capping the fps to 30 (vs the unusual 31 I was getting) would fix the lag. I also set the refresh rate manually to 60hz (this is all using RadeonPro). Seemed to help the lag... and then I noticed the game was now running native 1080p fullscreen. I reset RadeonPro's settings, then restarted the game... and it was still native 1080p...

Maybe switching to windowed at least once triggers/changes some setting that makes the fullscreen resolution display properly from then on? Or temporarily changing those video card settings did it?

Anyway, try going back to regular fullscreen 1080p mode and let me know if it's working properly for you now.

Same problem here, but that program doesn't fix it for me

Setting the window to borderless in the game's config file fixed the input lag for me without installing additional software. Here's what you can do:

  1. Exit the game.
  2. Right-click on the game in your Steam library --> "Properties" --> "Local Files" Tab --> "Browse Local Files" button. You now see the game's installation directory in Windows Explorer.
  3. On your keyboard hold the Windows key and press "R". In the newly opened window type "notepad" (without quotation marks) and press enter.
  4. Drag and drop the file "pcrun.cfg" from the installation directory into notepad.
  5. Edit the line that says borderlesswindow = false to borderlesswindow = true
  6. Save the file. (CTRL + S; or just close the notepad window and it will ask if you want to save the changes. Click yes).
  7. Start the game, set the resolution to what you're using on your desktop (probably 1920x1080 for most people) and untick "fullscreen" in the options.
