Difficulty scaling and statistics
So i have an observation to make. Yeah there are people that cant even figure out how to progress to the second mission, yeah people are complaining about the barricades, but that is just a skill issue. Missions gets harder as you gamble forward at the "double or half" aspect.

What i have noticed though, is that the player achievement stats show 40% of us have defeated the 2nd general at the museum. 20% of us have defeated the 3rd general despite the fact he is bugged and spawns in dead, allowing an immediate victory after the first wave, again it could just be people not getting past mission 4.
But what really bugs me is that General Tudd has a <5% completion rate. I have been playing this game nonstop for 4 days as an experienced war mage, have gotten TO Tudd twice, but noticed the fact he starts off with 150,000 health on diffuculty 1/10, in an arena where you cant converge any orc path, spawns in knolls and fliers first thing, how do you do this?
Is there a secret strat to defeating Tudd? he 2shots you and you cant focus on anything because it all happens so fast. Is this game just balanced around expecting parties of 4?

It doesnt help the steam statistics that on day 1, someone was sweaty enough to produce a trainer and release it, and pc players could possibly just edit their steam achievements, But even the xbox achievements at the time of writing this show 6100 players with the clear rate of .25% which is 12/13 people on this entire planet that have beaten Tudd.

Is this a scaling issue with the boss difficulty? is it just not balanced around having a party of 2? We have tried multiple methods to handle the boss just to have him kill us before the wave really even gets near the rift.

Another thing i did notice was they removed the entire point of chaining elements outside of physics traps, rag dolled orcs do still take 2x damage, but acid was supposed to be physical damage not just warmage damage, ice was supposed to add another 2x physical instead of being a flat stun, lightning does nothing but do 50 splash damage to 2 enemies? but 50 is literally nothing on later missions due to the scaling.

The game feels like a neutered omd3 scramble, but we cant choose which buff we get, i understand the rogue-like aspect but why do we keep getting useless threads for your current playstyle? Permanent debuffs but we keep pulling rift blessings "for the next stage only" that do nothing to help in the long run. Its just irritating that the pacing also keeps you playing for about 90 minutes at a time per attempt to get to mission 6 just to get dog-washed.

You can converge paths on his map, but it doesn't change the fact that map isn't good. I'm not sure if it is even possible w/ the base 22, but you can essentially make a V shape in the center around the rift and force them all into the big room on the right. The first time I won I did a worse idea and used diagonal to push left top and second diagonal from right towards bottom and started looping around the center wall (had double barricade or way too many of them).

How did I survive the hell? The map starts off flooding the southern door with large enemies and I had no chance of stopping it, so activate Max's ultimate. The boss of course runs up to me as I'm wildly swinging into the group and losing over half his hp until they overran and killed me. Leaked a few, revived and killed off the boss asap so I could focus on any large enemies and fliers left in the wave. I did have the +50% War mage damage against bosses upgrade from Gabby, butI don't recall how many +1k hp threads I'd taken

To be honest i just had the most disgusting filthy fight as kalos where i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up all my barricades, couldnt remove them cause modifier, he destroyed all of them, everyone destroyed everything and i just went around throwing briar paths and fire paths and kiting around all the sides with sentinels that was spammed with ballista.

i went from 42 to 10 rift points

i think the idea is to kill the enemies within their respective area as 2 of the entrances can be merged, but im not sure about the best build strat for the last one, the map feels kinda silly to me and is one of the times where i would actually agree its designed for 4 people in mind.

Hey just got the map again so i could experiment, i managed to make an 18 barricade funnel, i cant tell you how well it would work for the boss but its miles better than what i did the first time lol

EDIT: and then i managed to block off the 3 internal paths to 1 with 4 barricades, so since i have +2 i have two left, but this should be a pretty big funnel for 22 barricades

There is literally something called Steam Achievement Manager, and its not a problem to use, why are you complaining about trainers for achievements, anyone can get achievements on Steam, its not against ToS.

Oh dont get me wrong im not complaining about the existance of the trainer or the achievement manager, my concern is the absurdly low achievement rate for defeating tudd.
Issue of concern is the boss is much harder than the other generals, and the lack of people that have even gotten to him means there may be an unbalance and the devs arent aware yet. They were mentioned because while the steam win rate is about 5%, its like 2% on console where people cant cheat so easily.

mate game came out tuesday at 1 pm and it takes atleast 4 full runs assuming you never lose which you will to reach and beat him, most people havent even had that much time to play the game yet.

yeah thats fair, i would definitely try to aim to get 18 barricades for it atleast so if its a 4 man somee of you need, though this wasnt great fun to defend lol.

I don't now why there is a difficulty slider when even tier 0/10 is so ridiculously difficult for solo players, especially with the enemy hp buff of 1.0.8.
Tier 0/10 should be easy mode, but it's impossible to beat.

its not, get better trap setups, if anything solo is too easy which is why its nice they added a difficulty slider.
