Too grindy
I only get about 200 skulls per mission, and they take like 40 minutes. After just 9 points in my character tree, my upgrades cost 300 points and it's just going up. It's not a live service game, i shouldn't have to do 1000 runs to max out stuff especially if I can't refund upgrades

When you gamble forward the rewards increase dramatically.

You can earn 10.000 skulls in a single run to mission 7 or 8 for example

Nobody has playtested the game before release, that is the problem. If they hired some QA people at the first place-all of the issues would have been found and fixed including the progression.

You'll get better, just keep on gaming. It's more like the game doesn't tell you that one playthrou are 2 maps and one boss map. You will get up to 1500 Skulls, for me it took about an hour to complete this. But if you quit before, the reward is not that much.

AFAIK, there is no way to save your progress between maps. I think that'll be the main problem here : Having to spend consecutive hours to reach later mission with proper skull gain. Or even reach bosses.
(If there is, it's awfully not clear)

there is, you can just click "save quicksave" and it goes to menu and when you play again you can decide to continue or get the saved skull

i also only just realized it, but also what needs to be realized if if you click quickload from menu you are instantly thrown into next map lol, through they would give me the choice, but nah.

so quick save, normal play to act as if you quit to keep, load quicksave to go to next map.

@Zouls I got that same surprise also - Quickload goes straight into the action.

Could do with a confirmation or summary screen first I think.

to be fair you do get a confirmation https://gyazo.com/1cd91f136ed67ad75c3c2190946a47cb

i just found it a bit unintuitive that you get to keep the full amount if you click play instead of load quicksave.
Yeah, the UI is a little goofy around that, I'd have named most of the buttons something more descriptive.

Is it in CO-OP mode as well? I can't see it there even though I'm creating a lobby.
RahKiel Feb 2 @ 11:13am
That is not available in multiplayer. Only for solo afaik.

Another nonsense in this game, I don't see why it shouldn't be possible. I don't have 4 hours to play, and restarting over and over is boring.

you dont need to play 4 hours you arent going to get that far most likely anyways?

but the simple answer is because multiplayer loading of a map has a ton of conequences and choices that needs to be made which are a pain in the butt. Like can another player join, can you start it solo, what about rewards, what about the other player etc.

I do think they could do with increasing the amount of skulls you get. It's a little demoralising.
