oh yeah obviously you wont get bearman threads on calico kitty, but i wonder once you unlock all those from the weaver that is trap unique if you can get trap unique ones that you dont have in your current loadout kinda to encourage you swapping.
but i dont know
If I am correct, after the first wave starts, you cannot swap your traps out. You're stuck with them. So it's a simple matter to have the game limit trap threads to ones relevant to your current selection
myeah but you can swap it out next mission, the point is im kinda half half on what the best solution would be. because i think if you can get every single trap option then thats silly but on the other hand if you cant get traps you dont have on your hotbar then there are certain traps that you are forced to have in the hopes of getting the specific trait even if you dont think they are worth using without, eg physics traps without upgrades for heavier enemies.
personally im kinda for a loadout system of threads but its a thing that is only gonna get crazier the more threads we unlock.
Since we don't have access to different weapons in this game like previous iterations, they should slightly re-tool the Thread system to allow us at the Fortress to specifically choose 2-4 Threads of our choice to start a run off with, but weight them!!
Ex:
For the powerful Threads, give them a weighting of 3 of 4 total Starting Threads forcing the player to fill in their last preferred Thread with a "weaker" one if they opted for a powerful Thread route. Or if they wish to better round out their Character/Trap Build, they could opt for 3-4 Lesser Threads that'd give balance to their character/loadout while not being singularly focused.
This would give the player choice over their Character's Kit/Trap Build path but still allow for the Rogue-like aspects throughout the run to "fill-out" the rest of the build a person wishes to pursue
Curious as to your input on this idea I had for their Thread system to help give players more control over their build path while still retaining rogue-like diversity
edited: to clean up my thought a bit
