What is your LEAST favorite map, and why?
For me, it's Island Observatory. It's one of the first maps you get access to, so it is forced on you way too much; I don't like the aesthetics, none of the killbox locations are "fun" to me, and it us unnecessarily big so it takes the mobs forever to get to the killbox, not unlike most of the maps in the game.

Just to be sure, do you really mean Arboretum? The one with 2 rifts?

Asking because that's probably the second smallest map with shortest routes from the enemy spawns. Only Coliseum is smaller.

That one with two rifts is a pain. That one is my least favorite. Why? Because it has two rifts.

I am not a fan of Order Arboreon because of the 2 Rift mechanic, I prefer much more the Rift Teleport (multiple possible location with only 1 Rift active).

But for real my worst map is Castle Courtyard, Its a hard map without a lot of extra barricades.

Colosseum, hands down.
Castle Courtyard. It’s such a cool concept but I would love to defend the Rift somewhere else in the Castle. So much opportunity and yet it’s always the same with that map.

Also if you do decided to maze around the library there's no ceiling trap space.

Observatory used to be 'that map' for me and my friends until we discovered we could make all the routes have to go upstairs, even without Extra Barricades. That made it so much easier.

Colosseum would be my 'Unbearable map' pick for if its rolled earlier in the game, but later once you've gotten Double Barricades or Lane Extender its just about tolerable - but still is easily my weakest pick for a map.

Oh for sure - the Dry Dock is one of my favorites just for the fact that the rift is in semi-random positions. I would really love if that was more common, even if it means needing to make some adjustments to existing maps. Having Crystal Defense instead of straight up Rifts, etc
I'm not a fan of Observatory due to the really limited options even if you have double barricades so I've grown bored of it. I can't say I'm bored of Colosseum simply because I refuse to even pick the place. This isn't OMDU with traps on 4 lanes, this is a combining lanes game. Once you combine lanes on this map your options are in filter into door A then out door B, or filter into in B then out A.

This barricade placement changed my Fish Market game like crazy. It's entirely viable and makes the map way more fun.

It even sort of works in co-op now (It didn't before Rift Barricades) because you can skip the 7 barricades that are there to route the southeast gate orcs up the stairs and around through the killbox until wave 3, because the southeast door doesn't open til then. So you trap the killbox, and then save up your rune coins to use rift barricades to put in that extra 6 barricades you're missing (In a 4 player group).

This has been the only barricade layout I have ever used in Fish Market. Not sure what layout you were doing before. It has always worked in 2 player co-op, even before rift barricades. So there must be a spot where you can save a barricade.

You will need to be careful with the tall troll archers stopping at the top of the stairs along the path, and shooting the crystal... but other than that, it has always worked great.
